So much civil war, Reinhard a sneaky bastard for convincing Lynch to start a coup de'tat to cover as a smokescreen for the battle against von Braunschweig and Littenheim. The conclusion was devasting for Reinhard as Kircheis loses his life protecting his best friend from the clutches of evil. The amount of foreshadowing that led to that incident was blatant, I was still sad as I read it. On Yang's side, having to stop the insurrection of Greenhill and co was an unnecessary battle knowing the strings were pulled by Reinhard indirectly. Yang coming to the conclusion to who was behind the coup was surprising even though he had no material evidence.

Another part I liked fondly was the prisoner exchange sequence between Yang and Kirchies prior to the civil wars, I vividly remember that and enjoyed the brief interaction between them.

This volume was better than the last one for sure. It kept me engaged throughout.
