For me to want to compile an analysis on what's likely to happen... Well, there's a huge amount of motivation because this series is now strands ahead of my all time fave (PMMM)... Which makes YuYuYu my #1!

I'll also be using quotes from Persona 3, one of my favorite games.

Flower: Red Geranium.
Symbolism: I've found multiple sources which indicate "stupidity" and "folly"...

Which to me suggests that something, or someone, will do something stupid... Which with where we are points to someone making a critical decision which could be considered stupid, in this case, a decision which would doom the world... Yuna deciding against sacrificing herself fits the bill perfectly and would mean that she's finally doing something for herself and look out for "everyone", as the other members suggest she needed to do in ep 5.

Preview lines:
1: "Don't mess with us!"
2: "I can't forgive this!"
3: "For Yuna's happiness!"
4: "Please believe in humanity."
5: "We want to live"

1 and 2 are pretty straightforward.
3: Suggests to me that the Hero club will fight until the bitter end to save Yuna and make her happy, somewhat straightforward but we won't know if this is possible until Ep 6 airs.
4: This comes across as begging, as in begging to give humanity another chance... Which comes across as very Persona-final-boss-ish where the protagonists would confront, converse with, battle the big bad and defeat the big bad and prove that humanity deserves another said chance.
5: Said by both Togo and Yuna, which reinforces the idea that Yuna will go against her initial decision of sacrificing herself. Togo saying this with Yuna suggests that this will occur when Yuna is with the rest of the club whilst confronting Amaterasu.

Back in the first (second) episode of the second half of S2 Itsuki drew a tarot card, just like how she did back in S1. This arcana was the wheel of fortune. As Itsuki described it as providing a "fateful encounter" (Sonoko) and meeting an unavoidable situation (What appears to be the end of the world).

Persona 3 quote regarding Wheel of Fortune:
"The arcana is the means by which all is revealed.
Alongside time exists fate, the bearer of cruelty."

Now for Yuna's arcana. If we have a look at the year that Yuna is situated in, it is apparently set 300 years AFTER the events in NoWaYu, which is set in 2015. This makes the year that YuYuYu is set in as 2315. Yuna's birthday is 03/21... But what is her birthyear? According to numerous places of data, they suggest she's 14 years old which would make her birth year... 2301... So her birthdate is set at 03/21/2301... Spooky to look at because of the doubles, 2 0's, 2 1's, 2 2's and 2 3's... Which brings us to her Arcana...

The Hanged Man: This arcana is described as the following.

"The Hanged Man generally shows that you are at a crossroads - one with only two options i.e. in or out, up or down, yes or no. You may find yourself very much wanting to do "something" but having no idea what it is or how to do it. If that happens, that's a clear sign that you should stop, relax, and look at ways that you might need to let go of attempts to control life/situations/people/things."

Another quote reads as "It depicts a man being hung upside-down by one ankle. This method of hanging was a common punishment at the time for traitors in Italy. However, the solemn expression on his face traditionally suggests that he is there by his own accord, and the card is meant to represent self-sacrifice more so than it does corporal punishment or criminality."

Persona 3 quote regarding Hanged Man:
"The arcana is the means by which all is revealed.
In the face of disaster lies opportunity for renewal"

Well, there's definitely impending and unavoidable disaster... So, it seems like our Hero's will need to find that opportunity and with Yuna being a Hanged Man, she'll need to make the right decision for there to be renewal which is beneficial for humanity AND herself.

The Hanged Man Arcana includes that of what you'd expect of it, a hanged man... But, guess what? He's tied to a tree... Coincidences are never what they seem.

And just for the bonus of it all, Arcana XIII's quote... Because, it COULD be relevant.
"XIII - Death
The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge,
he sealed his fate...
Entrusting his future to the cards,
man clings to a dim hope.
Yet the arcana is the means by which all is revealed.
Beyond the Beaten Path lies the absolute end.
It matters not who you are, Death awaits you."

If you want to hear all 13 quotes from the game in order, then I suggest you watch/listen to this video. Although, you'll have to put up with other character lines and battle sound effects.

"it is apparently set 300 years AFTER the events in NoWaYu, which is set in 2015"

Actually no. NoWaYu starts in 2015, but it ends in 2018 or 2019 and only then we have the change to year 0 of the era of the gods.

Persona 3, goddess of the night Nyx. Best persona final boss. Dunno about P5. Speaking of the night, they mentioned it in the ending theme song and it might end up important to the plot. Unless it's just there for Yuuna having trouble sleeping without lights on.

Last time a heavenly god used a weapon in NoWaYu, their spear is a gigantic pillar of light that causes whirlpools and earthquakes. They didn't even see the user. I don't think they'll be killing an actual god at the moment. They'll just push it back at best otherwise there will be no reason for KuMeYu plot of fixing the Fire World outside.

They also needed to burn a miko just to talk to a Heavenly god. So I think Sonoko is talking to Shinju.

What piqued my interest is whatever that Independece Day burning disc is. Is the enemy going to drop it at them? Is it going to shoot fire beams?

Battle with Nyx was an amazing experience... Can't say the same for the P5 big bad though... The rest of the game is great though. :D

Me neither, I think some negotiations are what's likely to happen, then maybe some fighting.

Bloody hell, what a shit world the Hero's live in. :/

I never even thought about that... But it is a god... SO anything's possible, just one week to go now... Hope Yuuna lives though, seeing her in so much mental and physical pain is horrible. :(

speaking of persona. The spear I mentioned is the Heavenly Jeweled Spear used by Izanagi & Izanami. So the user is either of them.

Kind of offtopic but,

Glad to see someone agreeing that the YuYuYu series ended up being superior to PMMM, and personally I'd say it is in almost everything save music, even in character designs. The boom of serious-themed mahou shoujo series has died long ago, though.

I mostly feel that it's the character interactions and genuine friendships between the Hero Club that makes me feel that YuYuYu is better as when they do come up against a catastrophe, seeing everyone in the situation is heartbreaking. PMMM is clearly my 2nd fave series though. :p
