| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Muddy Messenger Wolf and Wolf: That story went a completely different direction halfway through. That felt much closer to the way the old volumes went as opposed to the short stories. I wonder how long the villiage expected Lawrence and Holo to be gone because that little adventure took a good while. It's interesting to see the little inconsistencies that always appear in Spice & Wolf. The main one is why Holo is the only spirit who who has animal features while in human form. It became painfully obvious in this story when we see other wolves who don't have such features. I'm also extremely curious to see how all the spirits manage. All the ones seen up to this point lived in the previous area and were around when the Moon Hunting Bear destroyed everything. These wolves appear to be much younger, to the point they might have been born after the disaster. It's also the first time where two spirits were clearly shown to be family. It's nice to see that at least Selim will be in the story in the future so maybe her and her brothers story will come out. |
