| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Chihaya my baby was so sad after Taichi left her on her own. When she said she really became alone to Harada-sensei made me wanting to hug her! I am so glad that Horikawa is such a nice girl to actually pay Chihaya a visit and give her printouts! But what I liked about her is instead of ignoring Chihaya's karuta madness, she actually laughed and told Chihaya she must have really loved Karuta that she recovered just talking about it! Chihaya almost wanted her to take interest in Karuta but she shot her down pretty honestly saying she has no interest, haha! Horikawa also invited Chihaya my baby to track and field! She said she wants to talk more with her. I think Chihaya really wanted companionship so her wanting to join track and field just to have friends was obvious. But what wasn't obvious to her is how difficult it would be to keep up with the regulars! But she does improve without even knowing! That 50m dash even got the instructor shocked as girls gathered around her! Chihaya wondered if it resembled Karuta. But Chihaya reveled to Horikawa how precious Arata and Taichi and her promise with them were! Horikawa's reaction when she mentioned the two boys was priceless! Chihaya breaking down in tears was so heartwarming as she explained how she cannot continue with track and field. But it actully made the two girls closer as Horikawa calls Chihaya as Chii-chan and Chihaya calls her by Michiru for the first time! Yes! This Horikawa is Chihaya's Michiru-chan who we often forget about! After playing with Chihaya, Michiru (even though she lost 25-0, haha! Chihaya got this from Arata for sure, not showing any mercy to beginners at all) realized how serious Chihaya was with Karuta. As she declares that she would root for Chihaya, Chihaya didn't fail to ruin her good will asking her to start with memorizing the 100 poems, haha! I wonder how much Taichi was struggling, not replying to Chihaya's letters. His mother was so strict back then but I guess he was entering rebellious stage at that point. At least he was reading her letters. :) This chapter also revels the time when Chihaya fell head over heels for that stupid bear character. Also, this manga is yet to show Arata's face. He is always shown from the back. |

I mean if I did, I would have posted here. :) I actually enjoyed reading the first two chapters so I intend to continue reading if I get the chance. I mean it's Chihayafuru! I like it how the authors (story and art) have kept the characters as they are in Suetsugu Yuki sensei's original work so far, so I am already quite invested in this middle school story even though Arata is yet to appear (properly). |

I was warned multiple times by MAL forum mods in the past that it's against the rules, deleting the links I posted (editing out or completely deleting my post) and eventually gave me a stern warning that if I continued to do so, they might revoke my membership or ban me for indefinite time period. It made me put this in my profile: But that didn't stop people from PMing me or posting in my profile either so I eventually had to restrict users from PMing me or posting on my profile. I am still asked many times in the forums which means people don't see my profile even if it's there. I am okay to be considered rude tbh but I have been in MAL for so long now (over 10 years now) that I think it would be pretty awful thing to happen for me if my access to the site is taken away. I think the mods now are more lenient because I see so many users sharing scanlations/ raws/ illegal anime sites on MAL but I am not gonna take my chances. Anyways, I am sure there will be those who will be really happy and thankful to you to see the raws. Just wanted to say this. :) |

| Nice chapter as usual. It's really nice seeing how she befriended Horikawa. Even if their interests don't align, they still stayed best friends. Also, hilarious Chihaya basically scams her parents for money to buy Daddy Bear goods! |
