A little bit confused on the true ending

I just watched the Movie and i'm a little bit confused about the real ending. Because in the ending of the tv anime series kakeru lives, but in the ending of the movie (which is an original story that happened after the events in the manga and TV anime) all that has happened was just a dream and kakeru is still dead. So which is it?

Thanks a lot! :) I thought the movie was following the ending of the series that's why it got me confused.

I just want to say that I was confued at the beging too and it took me some search to undestand it and that I had that Suwa would sacrifice himself for some so weak that won’t fight for his life! So I personally don’t like this time line! All regrating someone that choose to die!
