I know that "another world" anime are pretty common and a theme done to death, but I liked Grimgars more pragmatic take on it. Yea, there were skills, people learned them. They killed monsters, sold the parts, etc.
But the way they handled it had me hooked from their first kill, where they realized, "Holy shit, this monster doesn't want to die. It's fighting for life and were killing it for money... but we have to or else we might starve."
I understand odds of a season 2 are low, but I liked the gritty low fantasy even in a high fantasy setting. |
