| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- I really like this so far! It's always cool to see more about Kyouko and Mami, and of course Sayaka, too. It seems like she'll go down a similar path again... poor girl can't catch a break. The wraiths are interesting enemies, but nothing too special yet. I can't wait to see where this goes from here! |
| Considering this is basically Madoka the way we originally thought it works, it's actually pretty cool to fans. It's sad when you can see Sayaka's downfall(even though we know it's coming) so early on, even in the better world, but then again is it a real surprise? She succumbed to despair before knowing anything about the truth behind witches anyway. Her wish was always way too shallow to support her future struggles. It's also so classical how the selfish Kyouko thrashed her until the moment she got worried about her. The only reason Sayaka isn't at the bottom of the Magical girls' list is Mami's self-righteous existence. Too bad we won't be seeing quality friendship time even in this world - Kyubei's sinister nature really overshadowed the fact that some of these girls had real problems in the first place. That being said, I'm happy that they also kept Sakura's rotten character at the start. This way we are able to contrast her bad appearance and good nature with the opposite for others. |
