| I stumbled across the OP last night and have since been hypnotized by its infectious cuteness. However, it looks like subs are unreliable for it. I've taken two years of Japanese, so can understand basic sentences and such, and since this looks to be a childrens show I'm just wondering if it's possible for someone who's had two years of Japanese to be able to watch this raw. |

Most of the general conversation in the episodes should be understandable for you. What will stump you will be the biological, zoological, and techno-babble words that they use. But in that case you won't be a lot different from a Japanese kid who is being exposed to those terms for the first time, because the words will be used in context. So relax, watch and listen, and don't worry about the words that you "miss", you'll pick up more and more from the context of the story. |
