THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- And when I thought things were going to be very agitated, behold the comedy (one of the author's strengths) predominates, I'm looking forward to seeing great scenes of fighting in this manga .. |

I wish they extended the fight a bit or showed more of it... She also should just use the bathroom normally from now on. |

LMAO, just when you thought Tamura has lost his comedy magic, you got a whole joke about hemorhoids, lol. Toilet joke was brilliant and that siscon and feel destroyer was a classic Tamura joke. LOL |

Anyway this ranked at the bottom of wsj rankings, third from the last, pretty sure this will get axed anyway, it has an aimless direction which isn't working for the readers |

Well aimless meaning it's too slow for its own good, and from what I heard, the reception wasn't good at all, Tamura is a veteran so they gave it a last push by giving CP for the first week, but no, it failed and tanked at the bottom three. Those guys are paying for it so you can't blame them, personally I think the jokes aren't quite working well with this setting which has also action and genderbender and it's becoming a weird mix, Beelzebub was pretty decent with the same thing but it balanced it well. It only got cancelled because the author made the same mistake. If this was a simple gag/harem/comedy manga that those you said maybe this will survive but I really don't think so given the situation rn. |

Anyway this ranked at the bottom of wsj rankings, third from the last, pretty sure this will get axed anyway, it has an aimless direction which isn't working for the readers Well, let's see how it goes. I definitely think there's a high possibility of it getting cancelled. But tbh, U19 and Poro are worse off, plus Samon-kun isn't doing well either. These are probably going to get cancelled first. Samon-kun has been running for about one and a half years and isn't ranking well. So most likely U19 and either Samon or Poro will get cancelled next, if they cancel three, then they might cancel the other one as well. Then we have to consider that Hungry Marie's first ranking is based on the second chapter and the second chapter was imo way worse than the first one. It would've probably ranked higher last week. I expect the next rankings to stay low. However there's a chance the rating might go higher when chapter 5 and 6 get ranked. Plus, they'll probably give Tamura a chance because he already had a longer serialization once. They won't cancel a well known mangaka that fast. There are probably some Beelzebub fans who didn't like it at first but might start to like it. Compared to mangakas with their first serialization, he has fans of his previous work that might get interested in the series if he changes some things, introduces interesting characters. It definitely still can survive, but that depends on what the author does. We never learn is better off, but can get cancelled after only 1-2 years similar to what will probably happen to Samon-kun and what happened to the dance manga that got cancelled after about 2 years of serialization. 4th Place on the first ranking was great, but now it's already 11th out of 15. Dr. Stone and Robot x Laserbeam will most likely survive. If Dr. Stone can maintain somewhere around 6th rank or in general a single digit rank, it'll definitely survive. Robot x Laserbeam is the best new series imo though and so far I don't see how this can end up being cancelled. The next chapter of both series are really important since we're probably getting new characters in both series. |

Samon kun is a gag manga, jump has decades of letting gag manga survive mostly, that's why isobe has survived. And I don't see this surviving actually, the CP was a last push, it failed, and this isn't the first time this situation has happened, like Obata's last series in jump, school judgement. Jump gives zero fucks even if you are a veteran, you will get the axe if you can't get back up. I don't see this happening either From this batch, prob stone and nisekoi 2.0 will survive |

Why do you think they gave it CP in the first chapter itself? When was the last time such a rare thing happened? Why didn't a veteran like boichi or knb author(who actually have better reputation) didn't get, but Tamura got one for his very first chapter of return? We were discussing this in mangahelpers and they also said that the Japanese reaction was initially bad. I am afraid you can't connect the dots. CP only happens after a couple of chapters when it's a bit steady. It can make a comeback but all things point towards a bad sign for now. |

I won't explain it again, but you totally didn't read my posts. In fact the last line where you said a new series will get CP mostly is not the FUCKING point, it's that marie got FIRST CHAPTER CP which is a RARE case coz "first", can't believe I had to explain this by word. I explained why it's an exceptional case too drawing the Japanese reaction and why wsj tried everything for a free bail to push the manga but eh I won't again, sorry. Both bottom 3 and CP weren't the focus of my argument, again |

If this was a simple gag/harem/comedy manga that those you said maybe this will survive but I really don't think so given the situation rn. every new series in wsj at least got CP (not including one shot, but they are oftenly get one nayways)... it's fact that the rank was tanked, but no, it's not simply judgemental end... lot series has slow start and tanked rank, but it getting better, than no problem... kimetsu no yaiba for example... i'll prefer to wait until chapter 12, if it's still tanked, well... It can make a comeback but all things point towards a bad sign for now. but both of them getting it! both Colour page and cover page... again, i don't deny it tanked... and funny or not is subjective so i don't argue about that... and yes it has bad sign, but no, it's not death judgement yet... I said about very first chapter CP when marie is supposed to get a rank, I never even argued about only CP and then based my arguments, I don't even think you read the whole para to see how the condition is even worse than normal tanked series so whatever. Ofc they will get CP for a veteran series as a matter of fact but my argument wasa totally different thing lel. ehh... 3 from bottom sure is bad, but it's not as bad as you try to imply... U19 and poro does do worse... not to mention they already doing better than some previus rank that now stabilized serialised series like yuuragisou... it's really bottom, not to mention gintama and bleach was already stucked on the bottom... it getting better in chapter 11 IIRC... samon also really bad at first, but it's getting hit after vol 2 IIRC, when fujita saying he want to adapt it... also, every new series will get CP mostly, that's just how it works, no matter it veteran or not... ........
