Quite an interesting and unique style of narration. Presented in an atypical art style, sometimes there are surreal panels and backgrounds just to reflect the mood and thoughts of the characters. Sketchy and eloquent, if I had to describe it.

The story quality varies from chapter to chapter, being a bunch of short stories. "Peace" and "I don't know what Love is" are probably my favorite stories out of this collection, especially liked the main character of the latter and how his thoughts were presented. Those Japanese pop cultural references in random panels are pretty fun too.

Overall it's a decent read, not as memorable as Asano Inio's Subarashii sekai or few other short story collection, but that fascinating mode of storytelling is something to note. Definitely need to check out more of Taiyou Matsumoto's manga, only read Ping pong after completing the anime(and that needs a reread too). 6/10 I guess.
