I really hope it turns out decent, but man, that production staff looks pretty meh, especially the director. The only decent one from that staff would be the scriptwriter. I think he/she could pull something like this off... hopefully. I mean, Hiraku Kaneko as a director? for this? you gotta be kidding me, right? That’s such a disappointment honestly... He hasn’t directed any genuine comedies and/or romances before that I know of, so why the heck would they pick him for this? His resume as a director screams: I’m not the right choice for this. Anyhow, for now I have low expectations, mainly because of the director... I just don’t trust that guy handling this. |

| Having seen a pretty poor voice actress with one (wrong for the character) tonal setting get the most important role (Chizuru) my expectations have crashed to the ground. Seeing as she's also singing one of the theme songs, I guess this anime was entirely made for some money person as a gift to get in her pants or something. Ugh. Can't catch a break with the source IPs I like. I will be baffled if the human scrunchy that voiced the white haired girl in that tepid moe coffee shop show can do the kind of voice Chizuru's deadpan comedy relies on. They could have named literally anyone from Nichijou and it would have been more appropriate a selection. |
