| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So Queen got captured...(again). This episode also explored a bit of Dump's past...although I don't feel much pity for him. He should probably take Joker and King's advice. |

To be fair, I found it was far more miserable than I thought. I didn't consider his parents leaving him alone in all my previous analysis so he really had it rough. What I find the more relevant point is that Dr. Neo has very much betrayed Dump, and plans to do so big time next episode and he has Red Scorpio in his pocket. At the very least he counts with Spider Ace as a still loyal henchman, so that could teach Dump something about people. There are two things missing here.....1) The Mission that Purple assigned to Silver Heart (I honestly think this will be relevant, otherwise no point making it a mystery) and 2) The still not revealed new member of Devil Fang, the guy dressed in black that appears in the opening who looks pretty darn dangerous. Things are moving pretty darn well here, too bad this series does not get the attention it should in this place. |

| Overall good episode. I just disappointing because a battle too short |
| I had mixed feelings about this episode. Like Hachi, Queen seems to becoming more competent, which I enjoyed. She got herself out of the Devil Fang’s traps without Joker and Spade’s help (and then rescued them.) I’m glad that Spade and Joker got to meet and talk with Dump. I had a feeling that Dump wasn’t all that evil, and was just driven by revenge. I’m looking forward to how his character develops. It seems like Dr. Neo is planning a coup d’etat on Dump and the Devil’s Fang in the next episode. This should be interesting. They're not as active as they used to be, but the translations are excellent quality. As of now, they're up to Volume 9. As for the later volumes, I ordered them off CD Japan. The prices are dirt-cheap (each volume costs around 400 yen, roughly $4 USD), but the shipping is quite expensive. I’m learning Japanese, and while I don't completely understand everything that I read, Kaito Joker is a pretty easy manga to follow along with just by looking at the pictures (as opposed to something like Detective Conan, where there is lots and lots of dialogue and exposition.) |
