I know that there a tradition in manga that the hero never wins the first fight,but this was not even a fight. It lasted only a few panels. Himegami blamed Hayate for losing Nagi's fortune,but it is him that is doing it I suppose this could be the despair that opens the path. I do hate it when the hero is totally defeated then somehow comes back to defeat the unbeatable opponent through the power of love and friendship or some such crap I second this. I really hope they don't do the "friendship is power"-crap. Enough of that in shonen manga. My theory is that Himegami is doing this for Nagi's sake - to make her independent without money. I mean, he was HER "previous" butler, so that means that he failed to raise her properly, or fix her NEET-status. Meaning this is his final act to help her to be a proper adult. |
