| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- That torture scene caught me off guard, like suddently Shinoa was being tortured!! Kureto is a really ruthless and sly fella! But Mahiru is even more cunning... I dont know if it is with the help of the Ashumaru, or just her skills, but she is really good at deceiving and tricking others, then again like is later revelead, she was doing stuff like this since small, hidding the demon inside her and in Shinoa from the others, so they couldnt do human experiments on them, so I guess she quickly picked it up along the way. Mahiru is not really entitled for a happy life is she?! That scene when she called Guren and he starts to learn the truth behind her past, due to the logs and then Mahiru appearing, it was such an emotional moment!  That was really the last wish from her younger self, to be with the one she loved one last time, and when they became one, it can really be said Mahiru made up her resolve, that she already got more than she deserved, and now that is time to face the future, whatever path the demon brings her up to, thus is not wrong to say the old Mahiru died there, that innocent child, that kept pestering Guren about love, when she was extremely happy, such a eager soul that earned for her love's affection, RIP. Then that female vampire appeared again, got owned by Mahiru this time around, she came in possession of Ashuramo, probably she already had some contact with Krul too, since Ashumaru was Krul older brother.. I really love the duality of Mahiru/Ashumaru & Guren, it is such a tragic story, but it doesnt fall into any cliches, instead it just keeps pushing itself deeper into chaos, mean look at how this volume ended, Mahiru left Guren her old sword, and he is finally going to accept it, became an hare before the end of the world cames and it is too late, according to Mahiru only demons would survive (and children under 13)... Overall the volume was fast paced, the beggining was more relaxing, with Guren bonding with his classmates even if he didnt want to! And now he is going to become a demon to save them from the Thousand Nights revenge on the Hiragis. Volume 4 is promising ALOT! |
