The last ep of Chinese edition is 43 minutes.But the TV edition we have seen is just 25 minutes.

Can I get a source for this? No wonder it didn't seem conclusive despite Houhou's past being partly explained and Soran preparing for the tournament.

Yeah the Bao Bao story is alot more tragic. You miss out alot with the Japanese Version.
The Chinese Version really focuses on the regional dialects to give the viewer and idea of how far Bao Bao Travels.
