Battle #1

Participants:

Character Name: Frank Papau
Character Sheet:

VS

Character Name: The Guy
Character Sheet:

Arena: The Grand Desert

An arena situated in the middle of a deserted field, there were a couple of dry trees on the arena itself. The only downside that this place had, was the sun, which was a not "amusing" for a normal human. This arena is a circular 500m radius arena, meaning it had 1km from one edge to the other. If you went outside this borders you would land in normal sand, making it harder for you to move, but not killing you.

Overseer: Uther Kenta

"Frank Papau, The Guy, you both will engage in a respectful combat. The winner shall be the one who last stands, or the one who has sustained less damage when the timer is out. You shall have time to prepare [1 post] before we begin." He said, while he stood outside of the arena

He stepped into the battlefield, observing his landscape and then got his Shofar from his robe. He blew into his Shofar, causing the sound of it to echo across the desert and to anyone who may be watching. He then put the Shofar back into his robes, and spread his hands out. From the sleeves of his robe came metal shards that flew out and covered his hand like a gauntlet. And in fact it was a gauntlet. He did a few tests to assure him that his gauntlets were a well fit. After he deemed them well, he looked upon his opponent out in the relative distance. It was time.

Frank watched his surroundings, which was a desert-ish place. There didn't seem to be any obstacles. He and his opponent were a good distance from each other. Frank looked up, the sun shining on the area brightly. Frank sighed, looking at the Overseer. "Is it still possible for me to get my armor?", Frank asked, he kind of forgot about it. But it didn't matter, he always had bracers beneath his uniform. Looking at his opponent, they were spreading their arms, showing metal that covered their hands. This showed Frank that he doesn't need to draw a weapon. Breathing in, Frank waited for his opponent to make the first move.

Creating a fireball in his hand he shouted with the explosion of it "You may begi-...wait what?" he looked at Frank Papau with a pissed face. Teleporting himself out and in close to Frank he gave him his armor while giving him a slap on the back of his neck. "What the hell are you thinking" he walked back to the outside of the arena while mumbling. The match had now began with the sound of the explosion.

@SimplicityKnight will be the one to make the first move for higher agility and speed.

The Overseer teleported out and back in, close to Frank, giving Frank his armor and a slap on the back of his neck, asking what he was thinking. He then walked out of the arena while mumbling, "Heat of the moment.", Frank chuckled slightly before putting on his armor. It was light, covering only the vital parts. There was an explosion, signaling the beginning of the match.

At the instant the explosion sounded, Frank charged at his opponent, with a lower speed than his max. He charged in with level 2 Speed, not wanting to show his opponent what he was capable of just yet and taking advantage of the surprise ahead.

Unarmed, Frank would thrust his left palm forward with Level 2 Speed, but quickly retract the arm and lift his right leg kick at Level 3 Speed once in range. The sudden change of Speed should confuse the opponent for a slight bit, as well as them maybe reacting to the palm thrust. Their Perception would be enough to notice Frank's movements, but once their distance was closed, his opponent would have a harder time moving at Frank's pace with their Agility and Speed being one level below Frank's each.

If the kick connected, Frank would pull his leg back, with the enemy possibly staggered by the hit of Level 3 Strength against their Level 2 Endurance, thrusting his left palm forwards towards the opponent's stomach area. Trying to force the opponent to lean forwards with their upper body. If that worked, Frank would grab their head with both hands and thrust his right knee upwards, pushing their knee towards the head of the hooded man, which was being pulled down. After the knee connects, or if the man resisted the pull, Frank would let go of the man's head and distance himself again. He used the momentum he got from retracting one side of his body, as it moved the other side in the other direction for his actions, to give a smoother and more fluid movement.

If the initial kick didn't connect, Frank would quickly recover, distancing himself and using his Level 4 Perception, Level 3 Agility, and Level 3 Speed to react to any counter attack that might come his way.

The Guy, who had been in many fights before, knew that any sensible opponent would pull this tactic, and so he always overestimated the capacity of his foes. So therefore, he used his power to add 3 Strength to his next strike and charged forward to meet the enemy's attack head on. Then the enemy changed tactics, preventing him from actually completing the strike. Instead of aiming his arm at him, he sent a kick into his abdomen. This wasnt a particularly smart move, because within the same amount of time it would take to deal effective damage from the strike, a counter could also be prepared.

As the kick connected, The Guy didnt recoil enough to grant Frank enough time to draw his leg back. He grabbed Frank's leg as the momentum was transferred. Causing The Guy a little extra damage as his defense was open, and stabilizing himself from using Frank's leg as leverage.

He uses the energy from his power which still hadnt been used yet and spun around. Using his Six Strength to throw Frank into the ground with enough force to potentially damage him.

If that worked, he would take a few steps back. He would have to be careful about this one. He was a tactician. The Guy then decided to charge again with his 3 strength to hit his opponent.

Unforeseen circumstances had Frank change his plan of attack. While his hooded opponent had grabbed hold of his leg, noticed quickly with his Level 4 Perception before the grab fully locked his leg, Frank lifted his other ( left ) leg, using Level 3 Agility, kicking the opponent's head, using Level 3 Speed, which was left open without any defenses. Due to getting kicked in the head, The Guy, with even his enhanced Endurance of level 2, would feel the pain from a Level 3 Kick towards his head. Since the head was a vulnerable part of one's body, The Guy would take additional damage for this. The Guy would also have received the kick at the same time his lock finished, which meant that Frank could use the little stagger moment to remove his right leg from that position, hold ground, and retract his right leg.

With the pain that could cause, it was pretty sure that his opponent would need a moment to further his planned attack, making Frank capable of getting out of the grip that hadn't fully locked Frank's leg yet.

Frank took a few steps back, seeing that their opponent had a good sight. Capable of keeping track of changes in situation at such speed. Frank took a deep breath, he noticed that the opponent wasn't as fast. So in mobility, Frank should have him beat. Unless he wasn't going full speed.

Seeing as The Guy still hasnt actually used his power, he waited with the extra 3 strength that he had yet to use. After recoiling from Frank's attack, he knew that Frank had the advantage. His senses seemed especially keen from how quick his reaction time is. He couldnt simply charge. That would certainly lead to defeat. He had no choice but to be on the defensive to turn this around. He took a defensive stance with the distance they had between them. He waited for Frank to make the first move. His hands open, but ready to clench into a fist at a moments notice.

It seemed his opponent took a defensive stance, but that would be just drawing out the match. It seemed quite obvious already that Frank had the upper hand in mobility. But Frank did feel quite a bit of counterweight when he attacked, showing that the opponent was durable. More than normal. Frank had to be careful planning out his next attack, as his opponent was capable of reacting to him, which was going to make the match harder to end.

But once again, a few seconds after his opponent had taken a defensive stance, Frank charged forwards. His opponent seemed ready to counter Frank, so Frank had put a bit of thought in his next move. As he moved closer, he kept a close eye on what his opponent was doing. His perception allowed this while dashing at such a high speed. Since their distance wasn't that far apart, maybe 5 meters at most, due to taking a few steps back.

A) If his opponent clenched his fist and went for a punch/grab, Frank would use his Agility and Perception to dodge it by a slight margin, going to the outer side of the opponent's body as to lower the chances of a grab. Following this, Frank would move behind his opponent and, as he had his back facing the opponent due to running from the opposite direction, spin around, delivering another kick to the stomach, while with his other leg, he would push himself off the ground, kicking his opponent's neck.

B) If his opponent didn't do anything, Frank would duck suddenly, swiping at his opponent's feet to knock him off balance. Quickly getting back up on his feet, he would launch his feet towards the opponent's stomach.

The opted for a new strategy. He lunged forward with a false strike knowing full and well it would be dodged. Of course if it hit, it would still hurt a little. It was at maybe 1 strength. The weakened strike may have been perceived because he is low on stamina. But it would be dodged either way. He then followed up with a real, legitimate strike at his new position. Not aiming for the head like he did with his mock attack, but rather the center of the chest. Considering his strength in this attack was 6, and the location at which the strike was placed, and finally the fact that they are in such close range, it would be very hard to dodge in this proximity. Even with your current stats, a full power strike like that would hurt a lot. Especially since he is wearing metal gauntlets.

With Frank's dodge, The Guy needed a bit of time to adjust and spin around before he could hit Frank. He was able to do so, but only because Frank couldn't change his path once he left the ground. Frank managed to land a kick to the opponent's stomach, then another to their head, before he was hit by the punch. Since the opponent went for the middle of the chest area, they hit Frank's armor, reducing the damage Frank took by quite a lot. Since it is Level 6 Strength, using gauntlets to hit a metal surface, even with their Level 2 Endurance, would get some self damage from it, although quite insignificant.

Frank, taking the force that pushed him away, distanced himself from his opponent. The strength that he felt behind that punch was not that of a normal human. Even an athlete couldn't do that. He had to be careful about those punches.

Frank took a defensive stance this time, he had to think of what to do.

He couldnt allow this human to devise a plan, and so, he charged forward to force to focus on evasive maneuvers by delivering punches as quickly as possible. Surely some of these would hit, although not many. This wasnt meant for damage specifically, but to distract the opponent while The Guy was thinking. Since it took more mental power to dodge mindless attacks than to throw them ravenously, it wasnt difficult for the Guy to plan his next move while doing this. He was sure that Frank would get used to the pattern his punches go on instinct, so he would mix it up with a kick every now and then to keep Frank occupied. And then, as Frank would get confident in his dodging, the Guy would land a blow directly on Frank's face wherever it was at the moment unless Frank saw this coming. If it missed, odds were that Frank would use his leg to kick The Guy, so he prepared to use that by kicking off of Frank's kick. Effectively doubling the effectiveness of the maneuver with both of their momentum combined. That was a tiring maneuver. And so, all The Guy had to do is get a surge of adrenaline. It wasnt very hard for him to do this. And at that moment, he let out a deep, loud, bellowing, mentally-empowering roar to psyche himself up and get his adrenaline flowing. He clenches his fists to prepare for Frank's counter attack.

Without much time for Frank to think, his opponent charged forwards and delivered punches at his highest speed. Since his Stamina was already low, after launching a few punches, his opponent would soon be out. It would take little for Frank to dodge punches he threw out of desperation, or with the low stamina he had at the time.

It didn't take long, until his opponent's stamina ran out, making their strikes more forced and frankly, more draining to their body. If they were exhausted, one would only assume them to stop and catch a breath. Even with adrenaline, he wouldn't be able to keep it on for very long. Even if he was mentally prepared to go full, his body would soon give in. It didn't have the energy resources necessary to keep up with what the mind wanted.

Since Frank had been dodging the entire time, using as small amounts of stamina as possible, he wouldn't have suffered a lot of damage, if not none at all. Someone who was already low on stamina would be even slower. Once his opponent was exhausted, Frank stepped back for a little bit, "This is the end.", as his opponent stood there, exhausted. Frank would use this opportunity to deliver a blow to the opponent's neck, striking at the angle which would knock them out. Since this was a pretty precise angle, Frank had to make sure that his opponent wouldn't be able to dodge it. Or at least, not at normal speed. With the exhaustion of his opponent, he thought it was possible.

If the opponent was knocked out, Frank would look at the Overseer, "Would this suffice to end the match?".

If the opponent dodged the strike, Frank would duck, swiping their legs from underneath and knock them off balance. "I do not wish to make you suffer more than needed. Without a weapon, I cannot end this painlessly.".

The strike to the neck would have incapacitated any mortal, and seeing as the Guy was neither human nor mortal, it served to cause him great damage. As he reached half of his vitality, Vengeance appeared as his gives transformed. No point. He raised his hands as a non-hostile gesture as he backed up. He reached for his Shofar and blew into it It made a much deeper sound this time. He put it away. He wrote in the air. I concede to you as the victor. You have my respect as a warrior. He extended his hand to Frank as a gesture of goodwill. Seeing as he had already lost, he didnt see this as surrender, but rather shortening the inevitable. Seeing as the match was over, he was no longer allowed to fight, and Vengeance disappeared. He offered his hand as it normally was.

Uther walks over to the both participants. He was a bit disappointed that the fight ended this quick, but a smile can back to him. As he starts to clap "For the opening fight? Not too bad, it was a fine combat *wispers* but I hope next time we can have some more "special effets"." he laugh. He turns around and points to Frank, while talking to a camera. "Frank Papau, the winner of this match by forfeit, a round of applause for the first match of our city, may we see many more in the future." as the show stops going live, he turns around to both. "I'll give you 5 mins (1post) before you both get teleported inside the Hospital, it is a special room for combatants, if you ask for medical care, you will have it, but if you decide not to, you can simply leave the hospital." Uther wondered around as he waited for them, since the fight ended peacefully, there was no need to rush.

The strike didn't knock the opponent out, Frank had thought that he wasn't fighting a human. The strike wouldn't incapacitate, but knock someone unconscious. It would explain a few things about their appearance, as well as why Kiyomi got scared. It would also explain why he writes in the air as a form of communication. They wrote down again, showing this time that they had surrendered, and thus ending the match. Showing that Frank had their respect as a warrior.

The opponent then extended his hand, to which Frank would do the same. Grabbing their hand in a firm handshake, "I still do not know your name.".

As he said that, the Overseer walked over to both participants, smiling. He started to clap as he seemingly rated the fight on how it was, then whispered something to himself.

The Overseer confirmed Frank to be the winner due to forfeit, asking for a round of applause as he talked to the camera. After which, he mentioned he'd give both sides five minutes before they got teleported to the hospital for medical care if needed. If not, they could just leave the hospital.

1) If the stranger mentioned themselves to have no name, Frank would think for awhile, then smile, "Then I'll call you Phantom for now, as it seems to fit your appearance. I'll see you around, Phantom.", before leaving the area.

2) If the stranger had given a false name, Frank would greet them with their false name, "I'll see you around, ( Insert Name ).", and leave the area.
