General Rules
1. ERP is not allowed. "this aint a sex club" -Lime.
2. Do not create threads without permission from an admin.
3. Do not PM admins about requests unless it is something that needs to be discussed privately. If you have a request, post it in the Questions & Suggestions thread.

RPing Rules
1. You can only start RPing once your character has been approved by an admin.
2. You are allowed up to 2 characters. If you show to be an active role player then you will be given more slots.
3. No godmodding in any capacity. For more information visit Forumroleplay.com
4. Do not change the setting without the creator's permission. If you have plot ideas, contact an admin via PM.
5. The minimum requirement for sentences per post is three, no less than that.
6. Label posts with the name of the of the character you are RPing as.
7. Character can only travel between threads if there is an exit. Exits are listed on a location's main page.

Character Creation Rules
2. You are allowed to delete a character 2 weeks after creating it. Requesting to delete a character can be done in the Questions & Suggestions thread.
2. After your character has been approved, no changes can be made to the character sheet unless an admin approves the edit.
3. Plagiarism in any form is grounds for an immediate ban.

Combat in the RP is mainly determined by the weapons used by each character.
The diagram below illustrates the advantages of each weapon type



Advantage
When your character has a weapon advantage, that is considered justification for dealing reasonable damage to an enemy, overruling limits of powerplay. It is up to the RPer to exploit an advantage.

Primary Weapon
A character's primary weapon abides by both the black and white arrows seen in the diagram.
For example, if a character's primary weapon is Thunder magic, they will have an advantage over Fire magic, Swords, Pole Arms, and Hammers
They will be at a disadvantage when fighting against Guns, Shields, Explosives, and Wind magic.

Secondary Weapon
When a character is wielding their secondary weapon, they only gain the advantage dictated by the white arrows.
For example, when wielding Fire magic as a secondary weapon, the character will only have an advantage over Wind magic.

When combined with the previous example, a character with Thunder magic as a primary weapon, and Fire magic as a secondary weapon can potentially have an advantage over Fire magic, Wind magic (only when using their secondary weapon), Swords, Pole Arms, and Hammers.
However, they will always have a disadvantage against Guns, Shields, and Explosives
Against Thunder magic, the character does not have an advantage or disadvantage (unless they are wielding Fire magic, which has a disadvantage to Thunder).


Strengths are defined by the black arrows.
In other words, any primary weapon will have an advantage over the next category entirely.
To explain in words.
A physical primary weapon, no matter the type, will have full advantage against any special weapon, but be at a full disadvantage against any magic weapon.
Of course, a primary is at a disadvantage in its own category to one of the other two weapons.
Example
A sword has advantage against a hammer, but is weak against a pole arm, when in its own category.

Assuming a character's weapons are chosen optimally, they will have 5 potential advantages, and 3 disadvantages. This means all characters will have certain weaknesses, without exception.

Combat RP Rules
1. Employ realism to an extent when role playing.
2. When a character enters combat, they are allowed to equip either their primary or secondary weapon instantly.
3. A character can switch between their primary and secondary weapon at any time, however they must wait 1 post before switching again.
4. Wielding two weapon types is not allowed. Dual wielding is only acceptable if both weapons are of the same type (eg. using 2 swords, using Fire magic from both hands)
5. Do not overplay your character's skill with their secondary weapon. It is secondary for a reason.
6. Do not overplay the power of magic. Fireballs and thunder bolts are fine, giant walls of fire and hurricanes are not.
