The whole time, in every thing Subaru did this episode, I was smirking "you dumbass" at him, and "yep, we're definitely supposed to be thinking that, too". It's at times like this that the death-reset becomes a healing comfort: well, at least he can die and try not to be such a dumbass next time, for at least some of this.

However, I was still taken off-guard by the trip through the foggy forest and what lay on the other side. My expectation was that he'd recklessly head into implacable death and get reset. Nope. Worse. ;_;
