Monogatari Series: Final Season
| Details are scarce right now, but after Koyomi ended the app sent a push notification basically saying that Owarimonogatari 2 has been greenlit, so until there is official word we can assume it's in production. Nobody knows yet if it's going to adapt the last 2 novels of Final Season (Owari Vol. 3 & Zokuowarimonogatari) or just Owari Vol. 3, which is the end of the main plot while Zoku and everything after it (Off Season) are more akin to side stories. | Zokuowarimonogatari (koyomi reverse) is basically the epilogue to the series, although it really has a side story feel. I personally think shaft will probably animate the off season books as well, so there may be more monogatari for years to come. If what im saying sounds alien just google a list of the books and it will make sense. |
| The whole Monogatari Series has been greenlit for adaptation by SHAFT a while ago, so what is left of Owarimonogatari and Zokuowarimonogatari being adapted is a given. The Off Season, which is a series of side stories, are also probably going to be adapted because the sales are still really high, meaning we have Monogatari for a while. |
