http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2016-04-21/gundam-thunderbolt-blu-ray-has-english-dub-subtitles/.101317

The Blu-ray Disc will have both English and Japanese audio tracks, and subtitles in English, Japanese, French, Korean, and Chinese. The disc will ship on July 2 and retail for US$89.99.

I thought they didn't dub Gundam anymore.

Actually Iron-Blooded Orphans is getting a dub soon. But it does surprise me as well that Thunderbolt is getting a dub, considering it's status as an unpopular ONA series. I'll definitely have to watch the dub when it comes out, I loved Thunderbolt.

90 BUCKS?!?! FOR 4 EPISODES?!?!?!?! HELL NO!! It should be $20 max. It's only 4 episodes of 18 minutes! Blu-Ray or not, it should not cost $90!

I mean 15 episodes of Bakemonogatari runs you a little over $300. That's what rampant piracy does.

$300 for 15 episodes?!?! WHAT?!?!?! THIS is why people resort to piracy in the first place! These prices are absurdly high, and are total rip-offs! I mean, $90 for 4 episodes of Thunderbolt and $300 for 15 episodes of Bakemonogatari? That's insane. That's like paying $150 for a J-RPG.

Back in the day the first Front Mission cost over $100 on the SFC in 1996-1997.

So I guess anime has always been overpriced.

Personally, I don't believe a few minutes to an hour of bonus content should be enough to jack up the prices. Maybe it can bring a $20 anime to $25 if there's about an hour of content, but unless the bonus is as big of not bigger than the normal content, the price should not be more than double the amount of episodes, unless the series is short, in which case, like for Thunderbolt, it shouldn't exceed more than $25, or if there's oodles of content, $30-$40, and while I know about the bonus stuff, $90 is pretty pricey considering were mainly in it to see 4 sets of 25 minute animated intervals, even with the bonus content, just like Tokyo Ghoul shouldn't be $50-$60 per season.

It's like if Xenoblade Chronicles suddenly costed $130 just because there we're 2 t-shirts, a toy Monado, and a poster attached to the bundle. Not worth it, at least in my opinion. Maybe when I find it for half price or lower, WITH the bonus content, it'll be worth it.

Yep. It is not a new thing. Even back when 'pirating' anime consisted of mailing VHS tapes around the country to people you met on forums, buying series was expensive. The only time it was all reasonably priced was when ADV and other companies were licensing everything they could get their hands on and shilling it in magazines. There's cheap, discount stuff now but generally it's all expensive as heck.
