Nice Epilogue.
Live House between 1st gen solei and 2nd gen luminas, and concluded with 'akari vs ichigo' marathon.

even though, akari win by plot armor. Yeah, I believe Ichigo can't be beat by Akari.

So, what Akari's wish? I don't get it here. Duo duet or permission to called Hoshimiya Ichigo?

so many subtext here. like 'catch me' by Ichigo. or in the cliff, in my mind, Akari say 'I want to kiss you, Ichigo-senpai'.

last, goodbye Aikatsu!. Onwards to Aikatsu Stars!.

Nice idea of race for Akari to get the present, and then seems to be forming a unit together. I really thought Akari is going to ask for a kiss from Ichigo (hehe).

That last aphorism, its been awile huh!! It came a long way watching Aikatsu, i sure gonna miss it.

Now continue to Aikatsu Star~

Dammit, no Akari x Ichigo x Mizuki live with SHINING LINE*. But we got Ichigo humming it! Yess!

Also, Calendar Girl! Holy crap, that was unexpected! I was actually hoping for that too, but I figured it would be even less likely than SHINING LINE*.

And the return of the aphorism!

I screamed a little when the ED started and I thought we would never know what Akari said, but it seems she wanted to form a unit. Nice! I also jokingly thought she asked for a kiss.

Not gonna lie, I cried many times. The last few episodes have been excellent and the finale was perfect.

It's been a great 3 years and a half, folks. Let's see what Aikatsu Stars has in store for us.

It's the end of an era. My weeks just won't be the same without the girls from Starlight Academy.

It was a great send-off episode. It had its ups and downs, but I'll really miss this show.

EDIT: Wtf Akari, you saw Ichigo's family but you didn't even go home to see your own.

All the references to older episodes were amazing (specially the axe moment - that's Aikatsu itself).

This show's cast is simply the best. Love to see the "first generation" idols with that senpai feeling. I'll miss these characters. ;_;

It was a fun ride anyway. Hope Aikatsu Stars is good too.

It still hasn't hit me that this was the last episode. I swear everything just came about and happened way too fast. Nice to see a majority of the people who made their mark along the way, but @Florete brought up a good point in Akari's family not being present in this ultimate finale. Rather unsatisfying conclusion overall, but no way will it take away from the sheer fun and brilliance this series brought to me over the past two-plus years.

I expect the Stars to come out shining brightly this month! With the end of one era comes the birth of another.

It's been a totally fun ride with Aikatsu despite the disastrous "Aikatsu SEIRA DESTINY" (Gundam SEED DESTINY of Aikatsu) that is the 2nd season. Without even knowing, the ride's finally over, and Aikatsu has finally ended before being replaced with the brand-new "Aikastars".

As for the finale itself, it was pretty good with the reappearances of Season 01 casts. Although I screamed in anguish when the Denizens of Dearka err I mean DreAca reappeared from out of nowhere, twice. In the other hand, Aoi literally defines "the toolkit idol" who has all the tools and preparations she needs to accomplish almost anything (though we know nothing about where did she prepare all of that). And, yes, Yurika with her bloodsucking catchphrase is back. It's been a while.

Now about Akari, Yes, Akari had too much plot-armor in Season 04 (still pretty mad at the writers for their despicable act against Sumire in favor of Akari - and they already did the same thing with Aoi back at Season 02 to glorify Seira).
"All life begins with Nu and ends with Nu."

However, in Gundam, all life begins with Nu and ends with Hi-Nu. While in KanColle, all life begins with Nu and ends with Kinu.

Ahhhhh~

I love Aikatsu. I am going to miss the show so much. At least there is PhotoKatsu, I guess.

It was amazing seeing Soleil and Luminas perform Calendar Girl together. That song will always be nostalgic, haha.

I had no issue with Akari not seeing her family...lol. You can assume she saw them at some point and they congratulated her. It definitely didn't feel like a something "missing" from the finale to me.

My one question. What did Johnny mean when he said that Aoi organizing the event "reminded him of someone"? Who is he talking about?

I can't believe it's actually over (I thought it was going to go for 200 eps) I'm going to miss Aikatsu. I'm going to Akari and Ichigo but I hope they make some sort of appearance in Aikatsu Stars. Now I hope Aikatsu Stars starts off as good as season 1 of Aikatsu (Episodes 1-50).

I really am going to miss this show and all the girls we've come to know and love. This was really nostalgic seeing all of the main girls since the beginning make their appearances in the finale and the race between Ichigo and Akari was also a real treat. I also loved finally getting to hear the complete Start Dash Sensation for the first time.

One thing I didn't like was how Akari suddenly caught up and beat Ichigo in the end. I mean we all knew that Akari would win in the end but I thought it would have been better if Ichigo let Akari win the race so Akari could get her birthday present. Would it be so hard to have Ichigo purposely stop or slow down with a smile on her face as Akari "beat" her to the top?

I think Akari's wish was to form a unit with Ichigo hence; the exclusion of "-senpai" like they did in STAR ANIS with Mizuki to say that they are all equal... or I'm totally mixing this up with what happened in Love Live!.

I'm gonna miss this show so much. Despite some of the disappointments of season two (Dreaca specifically) I really enjoyed season 3. I wish this seasoseason n had been a bit longer but oh well.

Hopefully AAikatsu Stars is a worthy successor

Goodness. Its hard to believe that I've been watching this anime for 3 years. The longest anime series I've been following in my life. It feels nostalgic. I remember when Ichigo chopped down a giant tree for the first time and all three becoming a unit. The appearance of Dreaca was the most boring part. The girls are uninteresting for some reason. And when Akari became the main lead it became interesting again. I'm very happy to see that my wish for Akari to become the Starlight Queen came true.

It was to nice to see the 1st and 2nd gen, Luminas and Soleil had a concert together, and then a race was nice. It also nice to see Kaede, and Yukari again. It made me nostalgic.

It was a long and fun ride. I had never expected I'll be following a 100+ episode series. But I definitely enjoyed it. I"m not sure if I'll watch Aikatsu stars, as my problem with the series was how too optimistic and bright the characters. Like there's no struggle or conflicts and how the others get premium cards fast and easy. I guess thats because this is aimed for younger audiences.

I really don't feel I'll miss this series as we might see the old cast in the new one. Anyway, this long journey is over and its probably time to go to the next one.

That expression Ichigo had reminded me of when she did that back when she had her first duo with Seira.

I was first hesitant to start Aikatsu because the art looked very kid like and well I wasn't so hooked on the idol genre. However, after a couple episodes I began to really like the show and by the time Season 2 came it had already become my favorite idol show.

It was a very long ride. We went from watching Ichigo grow to Akari becoming SQ. I suppose what better way to end the show than to test Akari by making her face the girl of her dreams, Ichigo. I will agree, Akari should have gone to visit her family but I will assume she did that off screen.

What I liked the most was the return of "Climbing Angely Mountain" and "Cutting the Tree". I had a feeling those two would be in the race. It wasn't that hard to see a Ichigo/Akari unit, I'm sure that's been Akari's dream since she came to SA.

Overall the show was very good. Personally I didn't like or hate season 2. It just didn't fit into Aikatsu at the time. Had they made DreAca into a separate show much like Aikatsu Stars perhaps the cast would have been better liked.

Soleil x Luminas what a treat. We got to hear another classic song, so nostalgic.

I really do hope we see the cast again. Maybe the girls will cross paths with the girls from Aikatsu Stars. Who knows, as long as there is Aikatsu anything is possible.

So after 3 months on and off finally finished this!

Thoughts on this episode:
This episode was a bit random with the literally "catch" Ichigo but it was fun none the less. Had all the songs I actually liked which made it all the more enjoyable,one thing though I was seriously hoping Akari would ask Ichigo to perform Idol Activity! (my favorite song of the series honestly) during the epilogue,was on the verge of tears waiting for it to happen which sucked majorly when it didn't ;_;

Thought on this series overall:
It was alright and watchable but that's about it,would give it a 6/10 overall.

If I had to be more judgemental I would say this series clearly peaked at S1 and was never as good afterwords. Not that I'm saying S1 was perfect,it wasn't. But it could have been so much better if Ichigo had beat Mizuki during the Starlight Queen Cup (this is the one thing that bugged me throughout the whole series).

I'll probably hold off starting Aikatsu Star for a while.

heh... finally been able to finish.

So...
S1: I think it was best part of this show, they did some interesting plot and it had some fun characters (and fact that Ichigo didn't win was best part to be honest)
S2: I don't hate DreAca but fact they were dropped them later on felt weird
S3: weakest one but I don't like Akari
S4: worst part about it... it was short. I really liked new characters, there was a lot of potential here but I guess they needed to reboot. disappointing.

It was fun ride in the end - one of my favorite idol shows, I really liked Yurika-sama and it's bit sad to see it go away.

5/10 (for weaker parts in the middle).

I'm really happy I chose Aikastu! as my first Idol anime, this has to have been one of the most fun and heartwarming experiences I've had watching an anime and I'm really going to miss the series. Thank you for everything ^^

On a side note I nearly flipped my s*** when they mentioned Akari's upcoming birthday on April 1st, I just so happened to have watched this final episode right now this morning on the same day xD

Nice finale.

It was a long ride. Overall, this was a decent show. This could have been a lot better, though. I didn't like some of the characters, and the songs were mostly boring.

S1: Pretty average season, but it had its moments. I liked Yurika and Sakura the most here. I don't really care about the main trio, Ichigo, Aoi, and Ran. For me, they are a little boring characters.

S2: Good season. I seriously don't understand why almost everyone hates Dream Academy. The academy itself was a very fascinating place. Those training equipment and the Producer and Designer Courses made it so different compared to the Starlight Academy. I also liked Maria, Kii, Sora, Seira and Tiara a lot, especially Maria, who was a very lovable and kindhearted girl.

S3: Average season. Too much Akari. Not a big fan of her character. Anyway, there were a couple of very good episodes here and there. Miyabi, Madoka, Rin, Hinaki, and Sumire were the most interesting characters here.

S4: Only 26 episodes, but the new characters, Luminas Nationwide Tour, DreAca Festival, and the Starlight Queen Cup made this a good season. However, Akari got too much screen time again.

The bond between Nono and Risa was very sweet. There were so many heartwarming moments between them. I also liked Minami and Nina a lot. They were very likable characters.

The outcome of the Starlight Queen Cup was very predictable, but Sumire's unsuccessful special A-rank Fever Appeal attempt was a big surprise.

Favorite episode: 69. The house party in Maria's home was such a wholesome moment. I absolutely loved her house and all the beautiful landscapes.

Favorite units: Powapowa-Puririn and Dancing Diva.

Favorite girls: DreAca, Yurika, Miyabi, Sumire, Sakura, Shion, Rin, Madoka, Nono, Risa, Minami, Nina, Hinaki, Juri, and Mizuki.

Favorite boys: Johnny and Raichi. I liked Johnny's hilarious personality and Raichi's everlasting support for Aoi, Ran, and Ichigo.

And let's not forget about Ferry! He/she's so cute! :3

The characters I wanted to see perform:
- Johnny and Sunny in the episode 128. Come on.. One more performance? I was so disappointed because they didn't do that.
- SpLasH! (Michelle Tachibana and Asami Himuro.)
- Michiru Kurosawa, the girl, who has a skull on her shoulder. It would have been awesome to see her together with Yurika and Sumire. The ultimate Loli Gothic trio for the win!

I would have been totally cool with finishing on that concert, but...they had to go and do SOMETHING SPECIAL. I was tearing up during that entire race. I started Aikatsu in July 2014 and have been watching it very sparingly over these last 8 years. Finally reaching the end point of Ichigo & Akari's story has me feeling incredibly sentimental. Part of me wishes it would go on, but I also feel that the idol activities of Starlight Academy have been explored to satisfaction and I'll leave the rest of their journey to the imagination (unless there's more to it in Stars).

Overall an 8.5, rounding up to a 9/10. I probably would have left it at an 8 if S3 onwards had been focused on Akari's generation exclusively. What made this so endearing - and why I broke 8 years of savored watching to binge to the end - was because of the way that the two generations of idols were constantly connecting. My favorite part of that was the Great Starlight School Festival, which felt like a huge homage to the previous seasons.

Now it's time to detox from this euphoric sense of longing. Part of the reason I purposely avoided finishing Aikatsu for so long was because of how uniquely heartwarming & encouraging it's been to me, even among my top idol series. It is encouraging to see there'll be plenty to look forward to with Stars and I'll likely pick that up next year for a fresh start. Until then, arigatou. In other words, gracias! In other words...thank you, Aikatsu!

Now that I have already finished the main show, I can safely say that it's also now one of my favorite show for years to come despite of its flaws. I have been binging this show for almost one month and it's been a total blast for watching these cast of girls perform the idol activities passionately with all their heart. At first I was skeptical of an idol genre especially if could be boring if it's a long running show but this show successfully proven me wrong. I got hooked from the start and keep watching episode by episode everyday and starting to enjoy what it really like to be an idol. This episode is a really good send off for this show with Soleil and Luminas perform the joint concert and the running race between the main protagonist of two generations. I really love all the callbacks and all idols that we all know throughout the seasons show up. I may have a fair share of dislikes on certain episodes especially second season and how predictable the result but all of that really doesn't matter to me at the end of day. I just enjoy the character interactions between the girls and their song performances. And their drama episodes are easily some of the best episodes of entertainment that Aikatsu could offer without any performance at all. This show is really inspiring, silly, heartwarming, very positive, wholesome and always passionate to no end. Overall I would give Aikatsu 9/10.
