| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Eventhou is an expected win, still... I cried when Ichigo gave the queen tiara to Akari. And now the house where starlight queen stayed are name "Akari-chan chi". Seeing 2nd - 8th place standing on the stage, everyone one of them giving according to their personality speech really is great. Really like Madoka's personality. Without Orihime headmaster saying Akari had fail many times trying to get in starlight gakuen, i might totally forgot about it. She failed many times yet still keep on trying, thats Akari good point alright. Like Akari very much and will be fer fan forever, of course like the other idols too. Really can't wait for the last episode. |

| What a great episode. I'm still speechless. I think it was pretty obvious that Akari-chan will win, at least after Sumire-chans mistake. But I still cried when she got her queen tiara. The performance was perfect. Best performance overall imo. And it was perfect when Ichigo gave her the tiara. Also nice interaction between the girls. And some Akasena too. They're a perfect team. ♥ Akari-chan really deserves to be Starlight Queen! |

well, as expected. she successfully SA. nice flaskback, and the moment when ichigo gave tiara. maybe the lacking is Ichigo didn't say about what akari achieved is something she can't achieved. one episode before tide sails all ship to aikatsu star. |

| Amazing episode~ Sumire handled her failure of the appeal with such grace. I was kind of shocked she still placed in the top 8, though. You would think bombing the appeal would be like half the score. The scene where Hinaki and Sumire were waiting in the manor was so cute. I am so glad there is an episode next week to say goodbye to the series properly. It looks like everyone is showing up! To be fair, becoming the Starlight Queen was not really something Ichigo "couldn't achieve." I like to believe that she would have won if she had not been in America during the competition. It was more like, Akari did something worthy of a future top idol rather than making up for some sort of shortcoming of Ichigo's (imo). |

Climbing up from rock bottom to the top would have had more impact if it had felt like more of a struggle. I was still shaking the whole time, though. And Ichigo crowning Akari was pretty perfect. Sumire and Hinaki came out of the closet, then all three of them slept together. Subliminal messaging? |
| Akari seeing her old self before the perfomance, Ichigo crowning the girl she believed in, Sena bragging, the trio sleeping together... This episode had so many great scenes. |
| While it was obvious who was going to win, I would have liked it more if she had beaten Sumire properly, episode 177 had no tension to it whatsoever, as soon as Sumire failed you knew Akari would win. I have no problems at all with her winning, thats completely fine, but it would have been much more meaningful if she had beaten Sumire in a one on one fight of appeals. That all being said, it was a nice moment, and the interaction between Akari and Sumire was nice, and the three sleeping together was so beautiful. Anyway, I have to grudgingly admit that Akari was the better idol :P and well done to her, she's been building to this moment for a while. #justiceforsumire |
| I have to say Akari winning the competition wasn't expected because of what happen to Ichigo back then. I was hoping she would be someday as she deserves to become one. but she went to America instead. I was worried they'll gave us a plot twist and make Sumire, or Hinaki, or Juri win. So I was really hoping Akari, Ichigo's successor to be the next queen. And it finally did. I am super happy that she finally did it. It was worth skimming on the other episodes to see this moment. |
| Akari is your reigning, defending, undisputed Starlight Queen Cup winner. She's come a long way but she finally reached Ichigo. Nice to see Strawberry back, because she's the reason Akari continues her Aikatsu. Ichigo would have won the SQC had she participated prior to leaving to America or if she chose to stay. However maybe her Aikatsu wouldn't have been as radiant as when she came back from America. I see the SCQ as a stepping stone to greater Aikatsu for Akari. I don't know about you guys but perhaps the two biggest shockers were Risa and Nono placing top 8. 2 country girls who had never done Aikatsu reach the top 8 in their first try, perhaps not even 6 months into their Aikatsu. Sumire showed great determination to reach greater heights. Most likely Sumire would have won or placed 2nd because as Orihime said, had she safely went for a regular A appeal she would have placed 1st. Overall it wasn't a bad ending. Juri may have lost but she looked like a strong winner for 2 days. |

| Glad that Ichigo-chan gave her tiara, she is incredibly idolish as always with her very unique aura, I will definitely miss her more than others more than ever before |

| Akari winning,the obviously predictable outcome,happy for her though. Though another part of me considers her victory shallow.She had literally no competition,atleast Ichigo had to face Mizuki so you didn't know whether she would win or not.For Akari anyone besides her winning wouldn't make sense. Also the Starlight Queen title sort of lost value (atleast imo) once Otome and Sakura won,never felt they were worthy of it,if it had been Ichigo and say Kaede who were extremely talented achieving the title would have seemed like a real accomplishment. Edit: Did like Ichigo giving Akari the tiara though,very feelsy and teary eye worthy. |
| As expected, Akari's plot armor was too strong. Congratulations anyway. I'm sure she'll be a good queen. I still feel bad for Sumire, though. It was nice to hear everyone making a short speech. Those were a very emotional moments. |

| This whole episode had me mightily mightily mightily mightily mightily feeling like I could cry for joy at any time. Favorite part of Akari's win was Ichigo crowning her and bringing her journey from that first audition full circle. Akari's thematic growth was my favorite of this generation and the free flowing radiance of her Starlight Queen performance showed it. I adored those little touches like the birds flying around her and that feeling of soaring freely in the sky. Centering Akari's character around the weather was such a great fit. Akari is the sun and her smile illuminates the world around her. |

| Orihime really give a perfect description for Akari after winning the cup. She was pretty much a vast sky surrounding the moon and the sun. She really deserved that tiara from Ichigo and watching her growth from failing the auditon becoming the top of idol. Why would they build a special house just for the winner of the cup? I glad they mentioned Akari would probably get lonely ater moving to the Queen house. |
