Just like the title said. I watched season 1 and i can't help wondering why there's so hugh power level difference between season 1 and season 2. All those general in season 2 are too OP and in season 1 there's no such an OP character except Hakuoro which is basically a God and probably karula. In season 1 they won the war by strategy, but in this season they can even use those Dragon Ball's power. There is also that big general who can transform like Hakuoro. How is this happen?

The first season is not an EXACT adaptation in terms of power

- Karura is either strongest or second strongest character in both shows but together.
- Aruru with her tiger can literally tear apart armies in seconds, to the point that anime downgraded her involvement just so they don't have to portray that. If anime was 100% accurate to character strength in the game, Aruru and her tiger would most likely be enough to end half the conflicts alone. The only indication of that we have in anime is that they can evenly match an avu kamu in a fight.
- Touka could possibly fight an avu kamu mech one on one, since evankruga clan is overpowered as hell and are the best fighters in the land.
- Urotori and Kamyu can drop freaking nukes. Being part of onkamiyamukai already makes them beyond overpowered.
- Benawi is second only to Hakuoro in terms of tactics and is possibly one of most skilled fighters.
- Kurou is basically strongest male in the whole cast.

Again, what the S2 cast displays is nothing to what the likes of first cast can do. Witsurinemitea could literally bend reality as he wanted.
While what do we have in S2?
- You have Kuon whose powers are self explanatory.
- Akuruturuka forms the masked ones wield are pretty much just something in between Witsurinemitea and avu kamuin terms of strength. And that's literally the top tier of what S2 has. So Oshutoru, Munechika, Mikazuchi and Vurai are the main threat.
- Atui and Yakutowaruto are some of strongest characters(Atui could most likely rip people in half like Karura) and they still can barely match against Kurou.
- Haku only has his mind and strategies to work with and unlike Hakuoro or Benawi he is not some some war hardened genius - he can be brilliant but he is only human.

Yamato IS recognized as athreat as shown by the fact that Tuskuru has spies within it and so on. But in terms of character powers its not that different - Yamato is bigger(at least 10 or so times bigger) and has more dangerous tech, while Tuskuru characters have more experiences with all of that stuff. In fact, the only really big advantage they seem to have are the four Akuruturuka and Raikou's creepy magic stuff.

And tactics are still being used. We are simply not following the character that is devising them or leading armies.

Barring divine beings, Genjimaru solos the entire cast from both s1 and s2 bar none

Spies? More like "they planted a nuke under the capital". Karura and Touka are there, and they are the kind of people who can fight gods.

Well, Kuon did say that in head-on fight, Tuskuru could easily win. But they're following the teachings of Hakuoro, and starve out their enemies instead.

It never had to. The greatest power Yamato had, the Akuruturka, was countered from the start. One of the strongest fighters from Yamato and one of the most skilled fighters from Yamato, combined, with help, could not take down Kurou. Oboro is the only one of Tuskuru's "generals" that could be considered below him in overall capability. Even just an anime watcher can see that.

Without magic or serious military tech (we're talking at least flamethrowers here), Mukuru/Aruru and Karura are quite literally unstoppable. Karura's literally several times stronger than Kurou, as well as faster and significantly more skilled. And, barring rain, Mukuru is almost completely immune to all traditional weapons. Again, even the anime made that clear.

Finally, as noted: Kamyu and Urutorii are basically walking (as well as flying and teleporting) WMDs. The full extent of their power could wipe out an entire army, even including Akuruturuka, in seconds.

Tuskuru doesn't just completely crush Yamato's invasion because they don't have to. If it can't secure local supplies and protect its own supply chain, Yamato can't win. And fighting that way not only reduces overall bloodshed, but it's safer and easier for the defender. Thus, they're also preserving their strength so they can better deal with any tricks the enemy might pull.
