| The first convention I went to was last year, Yasumicon! It's free and best if you plan now if you want to cosplay. Last year I was Yuruichi but the outift didn't come out as I wanted it so Plan ahead. Like at least a month or two if home made. Yasumicon 2010 will take place on July 17th and July 18th at the FIU South Campus. For more information please go to : http://www.yasumicon.com/ Metrocon is also a great but costs money. Admission to the Fantasy Masquerade, METROCON's formal event, on Friday, July 23, at 7 PM.
