THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

RIP Frozen Marvel, she obviously took a lot of radiation. With these many death flags, she'll probably die by the end of the show. It's Tomino, someone has to die haha.

I think the death of the Chinese guy is about as far as they are going to go for deaths on the good guy side.

This episode was pretty crazy, they've been dropping nuclear weapons in this series like crazy. I guess it was the 80's but still.

Also this episode had one of my most annoying anime tropes in it which is the whole time dilation thing. The Bomb had 24 seconds to go yet probably didn't explode for a minute or more and process required to get rid of it would have taken longer. I just don't see the point in doing that in shows. Just show a realistic amount of time remaining. I mean Marvel barely blinked despite the fact she was less than 30 seconds away from taking a nuclear explosion to the face. It's pretty stupid.

The show is certainly going some places but it's certainly also lost it's way. It's basically just endless battles now with no real purpose. Going to upper earth has barely really changed the plot, which I'm not really sure what that is anymore. Like they aren't even trying to go back to Byston Well, like no one at all is trying. All the upper earth citizens piloting Battlers are still doing it despite not needing to anymore, I mean they are home now.

The first half or so of the show was really good but the series has definitely become less interesting as time has gone on. I'm interested to see how this all ends still but the rate at which I get to the final episode has slowed abit for sure.

I'd be surprised if the radiation had any real consequences. She's probably aura shielded from that as well.

That being said, Tomino being Tomino I always more or less expect everyone to die. If anyone doesn't it's a pleasant surprise. :P

Oh god, please not Marvel. She's my favorite character. I know it's a Tomino show, but still.

I feel the same. Where is Drake? Whats the final purpose? Beating him and then think how can go back to Byston Well? I think too much episodes where lost on this "new theatre" of the series. And we didnt get too much development on characters or the main plot. Maybe the Queen and also maybe Marvel getting new powers.
