 The official website of Anime Tamago has revealed its 2016 animation projects. Anime Tamago, formerly known as Anime Mirai, is an initiative by the Agency for Cultural Affairs of the Japanese Ministry of Education to train young animators by funding the production of anime shorts. Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2016 will screen all four works on March 19 at TOHO Cinemas Nihonbashi. The free screening will be limited to 150 attendees selected by lottery. Production materials from the four works will also be exhibited at the Tokyo Anime Center in Akihabara UDX between March 8 and 21. All four works will also air on a number of television networks and online distributors. Bandai Channel will hold a special streaming event on March 20, and Animax will air all four works in a single broadcast in May. Colorful Ninja Iromaki and Utopa will also air on Yomiuri TV's late night programming block MANPA, while Kacchikenee! and Kaze no Matasaburou will air on April 3 on Mainichi Broadcasting.
