| To the best of my understanding (don't quote me on this). Is that it is a remake because the original didn't fallow the manga. This is what the article said: "Reki Kawahara's Accel World will receive a new anime adaptation titled Accel World: Infinite∞Burst. It will follow an original scenario written by Kawahara himself. The series previously received a TV anime series by Sunrise in 2012." Hope this helps you. |
| I am pretty sure that the original anime followed the Light Novel, Accel world Infinite∞Burst Is a Spin-off series but the story is written by Reki Kawahara himself,as for the plot,I don't think we know anything about it yet |

| It sounds like this is just an original story not based on the light novels. Their are multiple theories as to why it's an original theory some speculate that this is just a way to see if their is still interest in Accel world for a season 2 hence why people say this very well could be a movie or OVA. Another theory is this could be a movie but it well be a way to hold us over until season 2 drops. The fact that the story is original and that it takes place after chapter 19 isn't really as big a deal as people make it out to be because from my understanding the Accel world novels each contain a story and they aren't really connected to each other plus their is a very big chance that right after they release infinite burst they could take the story of infinite burst and put it in light novel form. So I really don't think it being an original story and not being based on the light novels is a big deal. What is worrying is if this is a movie or tv show and if it is indeed a movie then why aren't we getting a season 2. |
