Noragami: Stray God
| Basically it goes like this: There's 4 OVAs in total, 2 for the first season and 2 for the second one. Noragami (Season 1) OVA 1: Canon. It's important to understand divine possession. (It actually happens around Episode 7 of Aragoto (after Yato almost cuts his ties with Hiyori). Noragami (Season 1) OVA 2: Canon. It goes after Episode 6 of Aragoto (conclusion to Bishamon arc with a picnic in the Sakura tree where Suzuha died) Noragami Aragoto OVA 1: Filler. Just a fun episode with the characters in the snow. Noragami Aragoto OVA 2. Canon. It will be released on March 17th. It's Chapter 41 and it goes a little after Aragoto. It's basically Yato, Hiyori and Yukine going to Capyperland. |

It's basically Yato, Hiyori and Yukine going to Capyperland. The one you definitely have to watch is Noragami OVA 1, as that introduces divine possession. Since Father uses divine possession (he's possessing a high school boy, Fujisaki), it's very important to the plot. Noragami OVA 2 is not "necessary" but it's still a fun watch and, like I said, it's closure for the Bishamon arc and adds to the characterization. There's also some explanation on Regalia's rights (which Yukine doesn't have because Yato is poor, lol) and even some more information from Mayu (Yato's old Regalia). Noragami Aragoto OVA 2 will not be that important to the plot either, but it deals with the consequences of Fujisaki kissing Hiyori from her point of view and it will also have some nice Yato/Hiyori moments for the shippers + funny moments from the trio. Basically, it will be the last "happy/funny" episode we'll get before all the shitstorm that will come after that in a hypothetical Season 3. |
