Ghouls are the same as humans except have near bullet-proof skin, are stronger, and faster. Humans would not stand a snowball's chance in hell against ghouls if the writers didn't forget about all these traits and deliberately handicap them whenever humans and ghouls fought.

Didn't some ghouls move so fast that they were a blur? You could literally just run into a person and vaporize them.

And what happened to super strength? Punch a human anywhere and they're done.

Plus, all the humans somehow blocking every shard or projectile with a tiny shield that only covers their face/upper body, where a hit to the legs or pelvis is just as crippling.

And what's stopping ghouls from just using guns, just to add another dimension to their deadliness?

Have you ever hit a baseball with a bat and felt a painful vibration up your arm? How would that feel with a FAR heavier bat, and a force several thousand times stronger than a baseball throw; you'd break your arm.

They don't so they act like ghouls don't exist and live their everyday life normally as if there are no dangers whatsoever and even trust complete strangers because why would you suspect anybody to be a ghoul since they look nothing like humans, amirite?

I'm talking about the CCG mainly, because somehow they can BEAT ghouls at hand-to-hand combat... which doesn't make any sense to me. Like, even BLOCKING a kagune should break your arms.

I think my text makes it obvious enough that you shouldn't expect much common sense from Tokyo Ghoul.

That's the biggest thing that stopped me from enjoying Tokyo Ghoul, either season. The humans seem so much weaker to the ghoul forces that the idea that the ghouls have to hide or that the CCG is a threat is kind of laughable. Their high security prison was literally straight up wrecked in a frontal assault.

This is one of the things that kept me from fully enjoying this series. The humans are so blatantly vulnerable and the only thing keeping them alive is 'plot'. Many of the ghouls have ranged attacks and somehow whenever they shoot at someone there is a person sized gap in their line of fire at all times.
