Lelouch in C's World

I was just thinking about the ending of Code Geass and how CC talks to Lelouch at the end. I'm certain that Lelouch is dead and therefore is in C's world and that she wasn't talking to him in person. I had always assumed that she was talking to herself in the way that people talk to loved ones who've died. However I just remembered that Charles claimed to have talked to Clovis after his death, also CC was able to communicate with Marianne and VV through some kind of telepathy. I was wondering if in some way CC could actually have been talking to Lelouch after his death and if anyone had any thoughts on this?
I'm looking at two possibilities. One is that the sword of akasha or the thought elevator can be used to communicate with the dead in C's world, as Charles appeared to suggest, in which case it may no longer be possible as the sword seemed to be destroyed in R2 episode 21. If the sword of akasha or thought elevator is what is used then CC would have to be there herself and the ending was just her talking to herself. But CC seemed to be able to communicate with Marianne and VV from a distance, though some kind of telepathy. Also in R2 episode 21 Lelouch knew when she was about to arrive and that she had regained her memories so possibly they have some mental connection due to their contract perhaps. If so then it may be that CC can communicate with Lelouch in C's world wherever she is therefore in the final scene she could have actually been communicating with him, although who knows if he could return the contact. This is probably just wishful thinking on my part though, it would make Lelouch's death slightly happier for me.
