Thoughts on the timeline for the new season?

I've been hearing a few people complain about the fact that Non Non Biyori Repeat takes place over the same time as the first season, and they would rather it continued on from last time. Personally I quite like the way that they've done it and don't mind the lack of actual time passing between seasons. What does everyone else think?

i like it because when i watch it i watch it to feel all fluffy and happy inside an to fangirl over renge but i don't want them to ever grow up so this is perfect in my opinion

It was awkward for the first few minutes of the first episode, but then I stopped caring, and thinking about it now I actually think it's better doing it this way rather than trying to come up with content beyond the current end of the manga.
