I feel like Kagami pulled Kanan out of her silence and into a kinda blah/crappy personality.

...Also, what was the point of this episode? I think all we really learned was that Kanan and Luce get along now though Kanan is still jealous. And we also learn that all the dudes want to get into Luce's pants and Luce is back to school for sure, which we all had assumed would happen anyway, so I'm not sure why they hammered it in so much and didn't just give Luce's presence at school a meaningful nod and move on to something important...??

"Something important" , theres nothing more important than characters personality in anime
I cant even guess what would be the "important" thing you're looking for , all thoses 17 episodes were all the same : adding more information about characters personality

In this ep , theres probably around 15 important things about character personality only , mainly interaction btw each characters that we couldnt see before since most ep were focused on single characters

Actualy i would say this one is the most important ep

If you're looking for story , you should try something serious

Honestly, I can't even really remember what this episode was about as I apparently watched it about five years ago. Meanwhile, realizing that I remember a lot of the episodes except for this one is pretty darn telling. Unfortunately, you've gotten me to re-watch the episode on a skim. For the "something important", I do believe that at this point, we'd already been introduced to the deeper plot that was to come and still had characters to be introduced. As those are usually this anime's focus, those are relatively important. And then there was this. This episode comes as something that doesn't really add to the anime in comparison to nearly every other episode before it-- based on the anime's own formula/preferred focus.

I'm not disagreeing with you on personality and character interaction being important, but I also feel like it should be important enough to not be put aside so much. We're seventeen episodes in and an episode that features more about personality and more character interaction could be considered "the most important" episode because of it. That's a writing problem.

That being said, personality and character interaction could have and should have been written into any and every episode, making this episode feel like it's a waste of time.

I'm glad it seems you're enjoying the anime though.
