Bizarre absurdist story - very quirky.

Because my brain sometimes adds soundtracks to things, I'm thinking of the Blue Oyster Cult song Godzilla "Oh no there goes Tokyo" ... "History shows again and again how nature points out the folly of man"

The poster who said this was as directed by Michael Bey was spot on - because as Southpark says " that's not a plot Michael Bey, those are special effects."

But don't get me wrong - I enjoyed this strange horror story and don't think I will forget it.

I can't exactly say I enjoyed reading this volume, but I find it really fascinating that all those shitstorm was ultimately caused by a mere sapling. There were some panels I chuckled and got awed - the "heta uma" artwork certainly was very appropriate in showing the destructions...

I do wonder how the Jacaranda sprouted in the middle of a residential neighborhood, but I guess that's not the point of the story at all. It parallels, in a way, with the story of Noah's Arc, just like the other manga Shiriagari mentioned in his afterword. Very nice ending though.

But I think the best part of the afterword is,
The real jacaranda is a pretty tree with pink flowers native to S.A., incapable of evil. Forgive me, jacaranda.

Very absurd, I agree. XD
It’s time to ditch the text file.
