| Name: Alexander DeMond (Alex) Age: 27 Job: Currently unemployed Personality: Hard working, adventurous, reserved, gullible Character Flaw: Ambiguous Disorder/Brilliant but Lazy Bio: Alexander DeMond, a young man filled with broken dreams and physical/emotional scars hiding behind a kind and welcoming smile. Alex was born and raised in the slums of Mexico City, rejected by society his life has been filled with struggles and misery. However, Alex lived happily with his mother, a hopeful and kind woman, who had fallen terribly ill and became bedridden. At age 16, after his mother's passing, Alex was faced with the difficult decision to try to fend for himself in a city offering no future or hope, or risk it all and search for a better life. Shunned by his family, alone and living off panhandling and odd jobs, Alex decides to make the journey to the US in search for his long lost father. Many hitchhikes, train hops and close calls later, he was reunited with his father, who had forgotten about the family he had left behind in Mexico and had restarted a new life with a new family. A distraught and frustrated Alex couldn't believe his father had simply forgotten about him and his sick mother and bowed to never forgive this man. Whether by guilt or pity, Alex's father approaches him with two offers, boarding at his home while Alex settles to a new life, or a large amount of money to help him get his life started. Shocked by the offers, Alex takes the money, and leaves his father's home hoping to never cross him again. At age 18, Alex had only an old wrinkled picture of him and his mother, a backpack filled with clothes, and a wallet full of cash he had no idea what to do with. He dreams of traveling the world, as the journey between Mexico and the US left him with a huge desire for wanderlust. He sneaks into a port and boards the first cargo ship he sees. After what seemed to be an eternity aboard this ship, Alex realises he is in Japan. Whether by destiny or luck, Alex feels an overwhelming happiness and hopes this could be the chance he wanted for a tranquile peaceful life. Soon after sneaking out of the port, Alex sees a train station and decides to try to hop a train and see where he will end up. As Alex reaches a compartment within the train's carts, he closes his eyes, remembers his dear mother's face, and can hear the train's engine as it sets for departure...
