| Hi everyone. This is my first post. I was re watching Anohana for the 7th time. It literally crushes me every time I watch it. I just can't let it go. I've tried watching other anime to fill in this void but it just won't go away. It happens everytime I watch Anohana. I don't know why I can't drop this series and just forget about it. It impacted me greatly. I've done research for a week on anything related to Anohana. I 've followed japanese fans of Anohana and everything related to it on twitter. There's a new movie coming out produced by the same people that created Anohana. But that movie will have nothing to do with Anohana except it will be based on the same location. There's also another movie in the making also by A-1 called "Vitreous Flower destroys the world" and the girl looks so similar to Menma. In the trailer she even says something like "I've got to return to the world". I know the movie probably has nothing to with Anohana but I'd just like to think it might. So do you guys think Anohana will ever continue even as a mini series coming from different character's perspective or anything? Or is it offically finished and done for good? I just fell in love with characters so much and would love to see more from them. I feel like there are a lot more potential to the show. This show was extremely popular and successful and I think they'd make a lot more money if they just continued on with this franchise. Sorry if it's a long post. I still have lots more to say but I don't want to this post to be long as a chapter book. |

| I guess you guys are right. I have a tendency to obsess over something to the point where it gets unhealthy. Reading your answers and rereading what I've posted made me understand. I mean, time will tell. You never know, it could possibly continue. |

| very unlikely tho i suggest you check out the other Mari Okada originals, especially True Tears, Hanasaku Iroha, Aquarion Evol, Sono Kuroki Hagane and Nagi no Asukara |

| Pretty sure it's done, the ending was conclusive enough. Maybe an OVA where they show how they have grown up though. |
| Just find a new obsession to weep upon. Anohana is done, giving them more would be demeaning to the show final message: one should move on with life. If you need another tearjerker you can ask the recommendation section, right now one thing I would recommend is Air. It has similar themes, but more tragic heroine. |

I heard that they have no more plans for the anime :'(. I mean I understand why. The ending was conclusive and was great. Any change to it might just upset the fans and ruin the amazingness of the show. But there's a part of me that feels incomplete. I miss Menma so much. Wish she could've just came back to life or never died. It'd be amazing if they ever get around to do a follow up on these characters when they grow up. |

I know, I'm being selfish just crying for more but hey, this is my method of coping and somehow it's working. Maybe I just needed to get everything i've wanted to say out there and then read it myself and see how ridiculous I'm being. To me, this was by far the saddest anime ever. People were telling me to man up and watch other shows that are far more depressing. Well, I took the offer and invested my time into watching sad animes. I've finished Clannad AS, Angel beats, Air, Kanon and also Grave of the Fireflies. All of them were sad of course, but not a single tear was shed for them. But even hearing the opening and ending of Anohana causes me to shed tears. Man, I'm way too attached to this anime. |
