Character Creation:

Unlike other character creations, the character creation for the Never-Ending Nightmares are very small and specific and they can be changed through each new mystery that appears. When a mystery appears, you will have to change your characters Brief Backstory bar so that it coincides with the new mystery, but everything else remains unchanged.

Character Creation Template

Name:
Age: 20 years minimum
Personality: Remains unchanged with each new mystery.
Brief Backstory: A small story about your character. Changes with every new mystery. Can't be larger than 10 lines.
Abillities: Some of your character's abillities, with very specific details. For every skill added aside the first, a new disabillity must be added to compensate. Max of three.
Disabillities: Some of your character's weaknesses, with very specific details. Each character must have at least one disabillity. Max of three.
Theme: Optional.

Note: Abillities and Disabillities must be in the same proportion. For example: A genius mind can be disabled with a incurable sickness or a terrible personality disorder.

Info and How to Play:

To play the Never-Ending Nightmares, you need at least one character and a Brief Backstory written about your character that fits the new mystery's enviroment.

A character's abillities will be very useful for each role he/she can play on the story and his methods. Notice that, whenever a mystery ends, the characters forget everything that happened, including their meeting with other characters and possible friendships formed.

In order to start to play the game, you must ask for a role from the Character Creation or an admin, who will then proceed to PM you your role and what are their functions. Currently, there are three kinds of allegiances in the game, forming a total of 4 main roles and a few minor roles. The allegiances are Criminal, Authorities and Civillians.

Criminals are the main "villains" of the story. They are designed the role to either kill or help the Serial Killer in some way. Currently, there are only two roles available for this allegiance:

 • Serial Killer: The Serial Killer is the main character of the Criminals and the only character able to kill any character in the game, including those of his allegiance, since he doesn't know who is who. The Serial Killer has the objective to kill every Civillian and Authority in the game. Once he kills all of them, he wins the game. The Serial Killer has access to any kind of weapon, can use any methods he see fit and can kill anyone in the RP, making him the most dangerous character in the game.

 • Accomplice: The Accomplice is in a dangerous position. He doesn't know who the Serial Killer is but, somehow, the Serial Killer instigated the Accomplice into helping him to kill everyone in the game, even if the Serial Killer never really spoke with the Accomplice. The Accomplice has the simple objective of helping the Serial Killer and disrupting the Authorities in all ways he can, either by tampering with proof or investigation or killing someone who is close to knowing who the Serial Killer is. Unfortunately, the Accomplice is not a good Serial Killer and, if he kills anyone before the Serial Killer dies, he's immediatly discovered in some way, either by being clumsy or by acting differently. Aside from that, he may fail to kill the target if said target is an Authority. When the Serial Killer dies, the Accomplice becomes the new Serial Killer if he knew who the Serial Killer was. If this comes to happen, the Accomplice gains all the powers of the Serial Killer and becomes a professional killer.

The Authorities are the ones followed by justice. The characters in these roles have powers unlike any other role, mainly relating to jailing or interrogating people. Their objective is simple: Capture or kill the Serial Killer. Some of these roles have no rules and can do things they want, while others have a way of operation and, as such, receive orders from a superior role. In either way, it is usually up to the superior roles the way the Authorities must act towards something. Currently, there are only two roles available for this allegiance:

 • Captain: The Captain is the leader of the Authorities, being in the center of everything and receiving everything he needs to get this mystery of sorts solved. Depending on the Captain, he may leave the Detective to act the way he wants or may put objectives and obstacles in the way of the Detective. The Captain is highly trained, he can only be killed by the Serial Killer. Unlike other characters, the Captain has the special abillity called the Investigation Diary. Whenever the Captain dies, his Diary is revealed to all players, containing information and suspicions of this highly trained official. The Diary is written by the player holding the role of Captain and must keep the Captain's thoughts of the mission and what he thinks of the current situation the other roles are in. The Captain, like other Authorities has the power to call an execution, which would result in one character dying by order of the law. After a character is killed, the Captain, with the lowest cooldown of the game, has to wait for 70 posts before trying to execute someone else. The Captain's identity is kept a secret until he uses one of his powers. He knows who the Authorities is from the start of the game.

 • Detective: The Detective, unlike the Captain, is on the action. He is, usually, the only character with enough knowloadge to analyse a crime scene and find proofs and leads on the Serial Killer. His special abillity is the Interrogation. He may interorogate any character in the game in order to extract information from them, but everyone can lie to him, if they're good liars. Unlike other characters, however, the Detective is highly trained in interrogation and bad liars will get caught in his web. The Detective can also call down a jail order against any character, causing them to go to prison for the following 20 posts and unable to do anything during that. Though, if he tries to lock down the Serial Killer, he will end up having a bloody surprise. The Detective can also analyse and keep the proofs of the crime scenes to use against other people as proofs of their lies. The Detective is slightly untrained, however, and if taken by surprise he can easily get killed in action. The Detective knows who the Captain and the rest of his allies are from the beginning of the game.

There are people who are just not involved in all of this mystery, but end up getting tangled in the web anyway, either because of bad luck or just destiny. These people are the Civillians who, somehow, ended up being involved in these problems. Some Civillians are very special and have powers that can even outmatch an Authority but unlike the Authorities, they are completely in the dark, which might end up in a complete disaster if they use their powers against the wrong people. Don't underestimate a Civillian, though, their powers can end up as a match-changer in the Never-Ending Nightmare. Currently, we only have three types of roles for this allegiance:

 • Bounty Hunter: The Bounty Hunter was paid by someone, or simply got attracted to the place, to kill the Serial Killer and all of his allies. The Bounty Hunter has his loyal Rifle and his pistol as well to help him on this mission, but he must be careful, because the Authorities would never approve of his way to solve things and he might even get confused with the Serial Killer if he does something wrong or seems strange. If the Bounty Hunter gets discovered and caught by the Authorities he is stripped of his weapons and becomes completely useless for the rest of the Nightmare. If he kills someone who is not the Serial Killer, however, he is jailed and may even be executed by assassination.

 • Journalist: The Journalist is the man who's there for the news. His objective is to get these special information he may find about the case and spread it to the people. Like the Detective, the Journalist is great at Interviews and he can catch a lie or a slip from the person if they say something out of place. The Journalist is the most Neutral character of all in the game and his role is completely impartial. His curiosity might have a high price, however, as he is hated by both Serial Killer and Captain. He may or may not know the Captain of the Authorities depending on how skillful he is on his job.

 • Avenger: The Avenger is the evil side of the Civillians. He is a skilled assassin who is there to kill a certain target. The target will be given to the Avenger at the beginning of the Mystery and the role will be completely unknown to him. The Avenger can only kill his targets in silent and careful ways, he must cover his tracks completely and make sure that he leaves not even a single proof of his presence there. Depending on who the Avenger's target is, he might or not be fated to fail, which is why he must carefully analyse his target before going in for the kill. If the Avenger is discovered, he is immediatly executed.
