Does Mai-Hime have established couple/s?

So I've heard there's some romance in this anime which made me want to watch it after a previous recommendation.

Is there actually any main characters that become a couple (and not just flirting etc, but are considered an actual couple)?

Yeah by the end there are established couples (but there are established couples in the middle too), and before the end there are some love triangles. So, yes, there are couples and romance dramas

Yes, Akane and Kazuya, and they were a couple in Mai Otome as well. That is the only real couple in this series.
