Lying on the bed of the second floor was Nate's seemingly lifeless body. Thrown onto the bed it was slightly contorted, showing evidence he had not naturally laid there himself. His right arm covering his face, his eye's darted open as the clock on the wall signaled the changing of the hour. Simply laying there he blinked a few times before rousing from his position. Covered in half dried sweat, he recalled the subtle memories of what had happened. Muddled words about a grail, vomiting, passing out, and then briefly being dragged and tossed into the room. Looking at the clock on the wall to his right, it was quite late and the moon could be seen from the window to his left. Getting his bearings, he stood up and headed for the door. Though stopping after a few steps and getting a glance of a letter on the dresser at the end of the bed. In bordered letters was a name, his name "Nate" written on it. Wasting no time he walked over to it and grabbed it. Glancing it over for the finer details he noticed it wasn't sealed, merely folded shut. Stopping his inspections he noticed his right hand. In a vivid red, were unrecognizable markings on it. Rubbing it with his left hand he thought it might be marker. Though after trying hard enough where his skin became slightly raw he stopped. Whatever it was wasn't coming off, at least not without soap and water. Returning to his previous task of focusing on the envelope. Opening it he found a letter addressed to him. Quickly reading it, the first sentence read, "If you want to save them". A list of instructions followed, detailing a route that went out of town. Along with a map of Finocchi which he remembered was the name of the town. Sighing at the grim reminder, he jumbled his hair griefly and turned to the door again. Seeing his baseball bat and bag of balls in the corner beside it, he gathered them and left the mansion. Exploring the rooms as he went he noticed the traces left behind by others. Unsure of what it was all about he proceeded to the designated location. After a two hour walk and a good distance outside of the city. He was staring down at an abandoned factory, plagued by rust and abandonment. Going inside he noticed an arrow on the ground pointing forward Following it he found another directing him down a corridor. Which at the end another one directed him left and finally to a backroom behind a door. Pulling out the envelope from before he held out his hand and shook it. Sliding into his hand was a key which opened the locked door before him. Trying the light switch, nothing happened. Which Nate chuckled at, he was dumb to think anything would. Pulling out a zippo lighter he illuminated the dark dusty room. On the floor there was a mannequin wearing clothes and some kind of drawings. Getting closer he was surprised to realize it was a human corpse who was holding an arquebus. Raising his feet he looked at the blood on the bottom of his shoes from the pool surrounding the body. Further inspecting the drawings he noticed they were some kind of summoning circle. Demonic? he thought to himself at the apparent sacrifice and possible pentagram. Noticing the familiar letters on white paper. He pulled the envelope that was stuffed into the bodies back pocket. Retreating out of the summoning circle, he turned toward the door and opened the envelope to find another letter. On it was a riddle which Nate strained to see by the light of the small flame. Shooting my enemies, I shot to hit my mark Living in servitude, my heart was to the breeze Knowing many masters, I served few Dying by volition, though not my own. I am... Reading the words in his mind, he recognized the bird symbol and pieced it together with the arquebus. Saying aloud the answer, all Nate was able to get out was "Magoichi. As the image formed in his head, the catalyst reacted to his thoughts. The summoning circle activated, illuminating the room with an bright blue light. Turning around in confusion as his lighter went out. Nate was soon met with darkness and a standing shadow where the human corpse once laid. |

The blinding light was replaced with a tall shadow that seemed to look down down at the young man. The darkness made it quite difficult to make out the figure, but some things could be deciphered. First of all, the figure was obviously taller. It's size was larger than that of the average man, so either this being was more built or obese than average, or was wearing some thicker clothing. And, most notably, there was a slight glint occasionally when the shadow moved. Something that it was holding... A blade. The shadow appeared to make only silent, subtle movements if any, almost as if it were trying to see where it currently was before returning its gaze downward towards the boy. Some rustling of cloth could be heard as it moved and shifted, pointing more to the option that the figures larger appearance was due to its apparel. It said nothing. Did nothing. Merely standing there, until eventually, something could be seen approaching Nate. Something slowly closing in on his face until it was pressed against it. A hand. The hand moved from his face onto the top of his head to feel his hair. Though, at the least the hand seemed human. The figure was probably trying to deduct exactly where the hell it was, why it was in the dark, and if there was actually someone there. |

Trying the lighter as soon as it had gone out. In the darkness repeated the sound of the wheel hitting flint. "Flick...Flick...Flick...Flick...Flick" As the larger shadow extended his hand. It crept over Nate's face and forced him to close an eye. "Flick...Flick...Flick..." Sparks slowly turned into half ignition until the lighter finally came back to life. Illuminating between them, it produced enough light to make out the fronts of their bodies. Though the waste down and their backs were shrouded in flickering shadows. Looking up slightly at the man, Nate judged he was in his early 30's. Staring instead of speaking he went over his attire and then the weapon he had in his right hand. Resting on it's butt was a large arquebus with a ridiculous bayonet attached to the end. The weapon looked ancient but brand new at the same time. Folding the riddled letter he placed it in his back pocket and spoke. "Magoichi Suzuki I presume?" In a cold tone the words echo'd slightly off the walls. It had been a mostly empty room and a large one at that. Thinking to himself he was sure it couldn't be anyone else. The room had been sealed shut except for the door. The body that was once on the ground was gone, no blood smears indicating it was dragged off. He had somehow by a mere thought, summoned Magoichi Suzuki into the world of the living. Unsure of the reasons, he thought he'd listen to what the man had to say before asking questions. Reaching into his front right pocket, he produced a wrapped sucker. Biting near where the stem met the candy, he unraveled it with his mouths assistance in a single smooth motion. Grabbing the wrapper he placed the sucker in his mouth, resting the stem between his teeth. Crumpling the paper he returned it to it's place of origin. |

The moment the lighter caused a flame to flicker to life, granting vision to the two of them, the man pulled his hand away with a slightly surprised expression on his face. "Whoa! Sorry 'bout that kiddo. Was just wondering what I was doing in pitch-black abyss," He apologized and justified his actions whilst bringing a hand to rub the back of his head awkwardly. After that short comment, the man began looking around once again, albeit squinting as the small flame from a lighter didn't exactly give the best visibility to examine the surrounding area, but it was better than no light at all. Though, unfortunately, he didn't recognize the place and appeared to be confused about his being there by the puzzled look on his face followed by a disappointed sigh sigh. As the boy spoke once again, the person looked down at him in obvious surprise before friendly smirk spread across his face. "Yep. That's me. Though I'm a bit shocked that you know that name. Most just kinda pay attention to the Saika part," The man, now identified as Magoichi, confirmed. However, before he was able to question the boy on his appearance there, a migraine struck his head like a sledgehammer. So bad that he hunched over brought his hand to his face. The headache wasn't alone, though. It was accompanied with sickening nausea. Magoichi felt completely and totally sick to his stomach. "Ah... Man... Even the worst hangover I've had doesn't compare to this..." Magoichi moaned out, turning away from the small light as even that menial lighting aggravated his head. "Hey... buddy... You're probably as lost as I am... but ya' think you could fill me in on what the hell I'm doing here exactly?" |

Ignoring the apology, Nate didn't mind the inquisitive hand. Noticing the confusion on his face, Nate's hopes of having answers faded. Moving the sucker in his mouth to the opposite side he raised his eyebrows slightly as the comment about Saika. "Book didn't mention Saika" he said in a matter of fact tone. Which in truth it didn't, he remembered skimming past the section in a history book. Which mentioned the man as only Magoichi Suzuki. Fighting Oda Nobunaga with rifleman equipped with arquebuses and being forced to commit suicide was all he remembered. Noticing the familiar symptoms, Nate waved his left hand. Causing the lid to fall down on the lighter and snuff out the flame, the room returned to darkness. Turning around in a way similar to military fashion he made his way to the door. "Stop thinking on it and it'll pass." he said remembering why it had taken him so long to get here. On the journey he had tried many times to guess who it could be that was leading him on. Every time he was debilitated by horrible head pain and nausea. Finding the handle, he turned it and opened the door. Natural light from outside flooded into the room. Squinting his eyes from being in the darkness too long, he turned around and faced Magoichi. "Names Nate, no idea what's going on." he said with a smirk. While it was an annoying predicament it was mysterious one. New in every way and worth exploring to see what came of it. |

"Eh? Book?" Magoichi questioned before being overcome with terrible head pain once again. He honestly wasn't asking though. He didn't really care, well, at least while his mind was under constant attack by pain. As the boy opened the door, revealing the exit to the building, Magoichi sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose as he heard the kid's advice. Sure enough, it faded. He was still quite disoriented, but he knew basics, of course. "Wait, wait, wait. Hold up," The gunman spoke, suddenly turning and immediately bringing a hand to shield his eyes with an "Ah!". As his eyes adjusted, Magoichi approached Nate once again. "Is there a grail war going on? Well, you just admitted to not knowing what was going on..." He questioned before cutting himself off. Bringing a hand to his chin as he walked outside the door, he thought to himself, taking away his hand while holding his index finger up. "Alright, Nate. D'ya' know what a grail war is? What a Servant and Master is? Saber class, Archer class. You know what those are?" He questioned who'm he assumed was his Master. The last Grail ended a long time ago and he though it to be the last one. Why is it that it was possible for him to be summoned again? Magoichi couldn't think of a reason, but didn't want to dwell on such inquiries, yet another migraine strike him. |

Stepping outside of the room, Nate took a few steps to the left toward his things. Having tied the bag of baseballs around the end of his baseball bat in bindle style. He picked it up and threw it over his shoulder. Loosely holding onto the bat with his wrist he listened to Magoichi's questions."Holy grail, yes. The rest of it, no." he answered blatantly. There had been a few books on the grail in his father's study. Though nothing on a war, merely the myths and legends surrounding it. Digging into his back pocket with his free hand he pulled out the riddle letter. "I was directed here, found a corpse with this riddle on it." He said handing it to Magoichi. "Read it, answered. Then you appeared and here we are." he said motioning to the corridor. Though in his mind he was racking over Magoichi's words. He doubted Magoichi encountered the grail in his lifetime. Let along fought over such a seemingly worthless thing. He didn't know how hierarchy terms related to the situation. As well as what these classes meant or were for. Staring attentively his hope for answers was renewed. |

Listening to Magoichi's response, he sighed and ran a hand through his hair as he slung the arquebus onto his shoulder. "Well, that figures. I don't know anything and neither do you. Some luck, eh?" He commented with a light chuckle. Though, that still didn't make any sense. How would some kid with no knowledge of the war be able to summon him? And as if on some sort of cue, Nate answered his self-inquiry. Taking the letter and mulling over it's contents, Magoichi let out a short laugh. "That's how you summoned me! You had written instructions on how to do it an' all the requirements laid out prior!" He said throughout his laughter. Pausing for a moment as the boy was undoubtedly confused, he figured it was best to explain what he could for him. "Alright, Nate... Well, you're a Magus. We know that. Otherwise you wouldn't have been able to summon me," Magoichi began with the most obvious statements. "Now, I know you're probably thinking the Grail is some piece of crap cup. Who cares, right? Well, the Holy Grail is a real thing and it's said to be able to grant any wish you could ever have," He explained to him, holding a moment for it to register in his mind before continuing. "The Holy Grail War is a... well, I'm not going to lie to you kid. It's a war. A lot'o the time it's a damn insane one at that. Twelve teams participate in each war, each composed of a Master, which is the Magus; you, and the Servant; Me." Once again, Magoichi held for a few moments so Nate could process the information. Explaining it all was pointless if the kid just got more confused. Once he saw that the boy was still following him, he continued. "Servants are... Well, another name for us is Heroic Spirits, so that's pretty self explanatory," He began once more as he scratched his chin with a thoughtful look, thinking on how to explain the classes, or if he even needed to. "There are seven Servant classes and each Servant in the war is different. Saber, Lancer, Caster, Berserker, Rider, Assassin and-" Pausing a moment, he pointed a thumb at himself with a confident smirk. "-the Archer class, your's truly." Handing the letter back to him and pointing to it, then inside where he was summoned, Magoichi went on to explain that. "To summon a Servant, the Master has to go create a summoning circle, then gather items and such relating to the specific Servant they want to summon; placing and arranging them over the circle. After that they speak a phrase that is designed to call to said Servant and, voila! Though... it's pretty damn odd that someone would write you instructions on how to enter the war and not teach you anything of it..." He murmured, his smirk turning into a more puzzled expression once again before she shook it away. "We can get into details later... but that's the gist of everything... Sorry I can't give you much else. Ya' see... You shouldn't even have been able to summon me, nor any other Magus. There shouldn't be any war going on..." |

After listening to the explanation, Nate stared off to the side for a moment. Processing everything he had heard and how all the pieces fit. "Heh...the test was a war." he finally said after a moment. Looking up and seeing Magoichi's confused face he explained. "I was needing help.... reached out to the magus community. A person offered to help if I passed a test. Last thing I remember after that is waking up and coming here." Returning to his trance he came to grips with his situation. The grail which he thought worthless was now the center of his desires. He'd have to defeat six other servants in this war and claim it. Looking at Magoichi again he doubted with his the arquebus that he could hit targets from far distances. Thinking of the other classes he imagined their specialties from their names. Saber would most likely be a swordsman. Lancer would most likely be a cavalryman . Caster would most likely be a mage. Berserker would most likely be a warrior of rage. Rider would probably have a mount. Lastly Assassin would be just that, a person of the shadows with a dagger. Rolling his sucker to the opposite side again he opened his mouth to speak. "Why not?" he asked. Magoichi's last statement had been the most thought compelling. Why was the war brought back, for what purpose? Being caught up in his thoughts he forgot the rule he had established to avoid pain. Like brick to his skull an intense pain shot through it. Raising a quick hand to his head he gripped the baseball bat with his hand before it slid off his shoulder. Closing an eye in pain, he quickly dismissed the thought. |

"That... was probably a bad call, kid. I'm not going to lie," Magoichi stated with a sigh. The Grail war was bloody and chaotic. Sickening sometimes. Honestly, Magoichi even thought that some people who knew exactly what they were getting into didn't belong in it, let alone someone who was so naive to the Magus world, or at least the Grail one. Clicking his tongue, Magoichi wondered how troublesome this specific war would be. It definitely was strange, so he was expecting the worst, or close to it. He hoped he was overestimating it, but he doubted his hopes would bear fruit. Magoichi was then brought from his thoughts as Nate appeared to have been thinking again as the pain hit him once again. Chuckling lightly at the kid, he shook his head before answering his question. "Well, you see... The Grail should be gone. There hasn't been a Grail War in a long time... For it to just pop up again and, not only that, but to be messing with the heads of Magi and Servants alike... Well, it's weird to put it in the most docile way possible... and this is describing an even that was never normal in the first place," He explained with a shrug. "Oh! By the way call me Archer. Don't want any other Servants knowing my identity... If they're even summoned. Hope they aren't but, knowing my rotten luck, they're probably summoned, up to speed with everything and strolling around," Following those words, he let out another chuckle as he shook his head. "Oh, Nate. By the way. Any idea of a... Base of Operations per say? Place where we can sleep and talk tactics... preferably near a steady supply of alcohol and pretty women... eh?" Nudging Nate with his elbow after he finished, Magoichi laughed and walked a few steps past him to look at the surrounding area of the building, then up at the sky. |

Clearing his head of the thoughts from before, the pain slowly faded. Resuming his original wrist grip he forced himself to not think about it as he listened to Magoichi's words. An incredibly hard task to accomplish as this grail war being so different posed many questions which Nate wanted answered. "Tsh" he said smirking in remark to the women and booze. Turning around and following him he continue. "Well we are in France, plenty of wine and women. As for a base I don't have one." It should have been obvious since he had no idea about the war before just minutes ago. He was a foreigner in a foreign country. On a wild goose hunt for something he needed and wouldn't leave without. "We can discuss tactics on the way to town." he said before stopping. Closing his eye's he performed his first demonstration as a magus. Activating his magic circuits, a hum barely audible radiated from his body. Crumble. he thought the word aloud in his mind. Repeating it several times in succession. In his mind with each thought of the word flashed images of the surroundings. From the path he had taken to the get there, to the forest and hills surrounding it. Opening his eyes after a few minutes he spoke again."No one for 1500 meters. We shouldn't be heard." |

"Haha! Bout time I got a fun Master!" Magoichi commented in response as he slapped him on the back before moving back onto the more serious matters. "Well, then. Getting a home base should be a priority of ours," He mused aloud, grasping the tip of his chin in thought once again. "I don't suppose you saw any place that'd work well?" At Nate's suggestion, Magoichi adopted a conflicted look and rubbed the back of his neck. "Well... We could. However if any other pairs are around and hear us talking 'bout strategy, well... They'd get tipped off to say the least. Specially if they're one of those Assassin classes. I swear, ninety percent of the time they're just as creepy as Ninja," He explained before going of to complain about Ninja. Honestly, Magoichi couldn't say he hated them... they just gave him a bad vibe... and the ones that did that were the ones weren't messed up in the head. Replying to his worry, Nate appeared to give his first proof of being a Magus. Whistling in minor awe, Magoichi nodded in approval. "Nifty skill you got there, Nate," He praised then boy before giving him what he thought was a fair warning. "But... Assassins are tricky. Some are really good at hiding their presence. That ability of yours is definitely useful, but don't completely trust it. Always be prepared in case something goes wrong. 'Cause take it from this old man... In war, everything goes wrong," Shaking his head with a troubles sigh as he spoke the last part of the cautioning, Magoichi began walking down the only path leading away from the building. |

Following behind him by a few paces, Nate began thinking on the town. If the Assassin was as cunning as Magoichi warned. They'd have to choose a place where they couldn't be heard to talk. He contemplated busy crowds at first, with the amount of people hearing a single conversation would be hard. Though they might get lucky and overhear theirs by mere chance. Thinking on it more as they got further away from the factory. He changes his thoughts to secluded area's. That were hard to get to, and gave a good view of the surroundings. First thinking of rooftops he dismissed the thought. People would notice a person of Magoichi's stature. There would probably be talk about it and that would possibly tip off other groups. After a few moments of silence a suitable place came to him. It was high, the visibility was good. No one could get their without leaving traces behind. Satisfied with it he came out of his usual trance of thought and caught up with Magoichi in stride. "I have a place in mind. You aren't afraid of heights right?" He asked facing toward him and walking by his side. |

"Only if there's a pretty lady with me who likes some weakness in a man," Magoichi responded with a grin. "You seem like smart kid. I'll trust your judgement. Where to, Nate?" He questioned, looking down at his side where the boy was walking with him. "And one we get there, I'll tell ya' a few more things you should know... Maybe grab some Sake before-hand. Wait, does this place have Sake? I haven't had a drink in..." Pausing a moment with a conflicted pursing of the lips, he eventually just shrugged. "Well, whenever I was summoned last... Ergo, a long time," Magoichi finally stated with a hardy laugh. "I guess it could wait. Maybe I could find some more incognito clothing and we could go get some. Perhaps some girls too... You're a good-looking kid, Nate. You should have a lady-friend by now." |

"Heh... I doubt many women would follow us." He said thinking of where he had in mind. Most people who valued their safety wouldn't think of going there. "You'll see when we get there." he brushed off the question. If someone was following them they'd know exactly where to go if he blurted out the location. At the mention of sake he merely laughed and replied with. "I'll see what I can get." Though at the mention of a lady-friend the familiar seriousness that accompanied him everywhere reappeared more sharply. It was a grim reminder of why he was here. Why he couldn't leave without the grail. Coming up on an old shack a little ways away from town. Nate signaled for Magoichi to follow him. Looking at the door knob crumble, it turned into a lever door handle. Grasping it and turning he opened the door, letting themselves in. While the interior didn't look old it didn't seem new either. Making a quick sweep of the room he gathered no one had plans to return to it, at least not for awhile. Everything seemed put away and covered in dust. There was no signs of it being disturbed for quite awhile. "Stay here and keep a lookout. I'll be back shortly" He said turning to Magoichi. Opening the door again and closing it. He continued on the path toward town to get what was requested and needed. As he left the lever door handle vanished and returned to being a locked door knob. |

"Well, this place sounds boring," Magoichi complained after being told no women would go there. However, his grin returned at the mention of alcohol. "One out of two ain't bad I s'pose. I'll get the women on my own," He mused before acquiring another face expression confusion with slight worry. It looked like the kid was starting to lose the blank face but then got it right back. He assumed it was best not to ask about it. Shrugging the order, Magoichi turned and yawned. "Yep, take all the time you need," He said with a dismissive wave over his shoulder as he plopped himself down on some dusty couch, causing dust to fly outward from the impact. In response, Archer coughed and waved the particles away with his hand, though it helped little. "I'll be here... keepin' an eye on things," And by that, he meant nap. "Oh! Get me some dress clothes while yer out! Or tell me where a shop is so I can sneak me some stuff. I don't dress in these old rags to impress if ya' know what I mean." |

Heading into town while Magoichi sat in the shack. Nate carefully went around purchasing what he thought would be needed to blend in. Though he didn't buy things the conventional way. Not wanting to have a face linked with a purchase more than he had to. He opted for the next best thing, stealing and leaving money behind. Entering a music store, he nonchalantly browsed the instrument cases. Spotting a large guitar case, he checked the store for cameras and a viable way to cause chaos. Using flash air he started a domino affect with some instruments in the back. While the cashiers focus wasn't on him and the customers busy. He froze all the camera's in their position, so he couldn't be spotted. Taking down the case and putting it over his shoulder. He put the appropriate amount he thought inside the register and left the store casually as if he had just purchased the item. Heading farther into town he made note not to pass by the store again. Next going into a clothing store he did the same thing. Grabbing a selection of shirts, pants, dress clothes and shoes. Distracting the cashier he left money for the items, bagged them and left. Next he visited a supermarket. Chances were a convenient store clerk would remember his face. Inside he got enough drinks and food to last a few days. Using a self checkout booth he legitimately paid for the goods and left. Thinking the chances of someone remembering him low due to the high flux of customers, foreigners at that. Lastly he went into a bar. This would be the only time he actually had to make a purchase person to person. Though not legally as the laws had been changed and he wasn't old enough to buy liquor. Taking a seat on a stool, he waited patiently for the bartender to come serve him. "What can I get you?" he asked. "Water." Nate responded with a upward nod of his head. Showing a puzzled and annoyed look he simply complied. Wiping clean a glass the bartender filled it with water and placed it in front of Nate. Going off to serve other customers, Nate looked up at the liquor racks. Mostly filled with wines, he saw a vintage bottle of sake. Picking out two wine bottles and the sake he readied his plan. Waiting a few minutes for the customers on his side of the bar to leave. He focused his view to the left of him where the majority of the paying customers were. Taking out his lighter with his left hand, he flicked it alight under the view of the bar counter. Crumble without looking at it the flame appeared across the room and lapped at the wall. Soon igniting it there was an outcry, "Fire!" As the customers all looked in the direction of where the cry came from. The bartender jumped into action, as if he had the problem on a daily basis. Picking up the fire extinguisher from behind the counter. He slide across the top of it and ran over to the wall. Aiming it at the spreading fire a plume of white smoke engulfed it and snuffed it out. A few customers clapped in praise for his quick action. Though none had seen Nate make the counter in front of him vanish. Then walk forward, take and conceal the bottles he had chosen and make it reappear. Finishing his glass of water he put his payment under the glass and left. Tucked under a few low value bills to appear as not much. Was enough to pay for all three bottles and any damaged the fire could have done. Going down an alleyway near the bar he moved a dumpster. Behind it was the bag of clothes and food he bought along with the guitar case. Slinging it over his shoulder and putting the bottles in the bags. He made his way back out of town, making sure to not pass the business section. Adding at least thirty minutes to his return time he finally spotted the shack off in the distance. Repeating the process of opening it, he was greeted by the sight of Magoichi sleeping on the couch. Smirking and shaking his head he closed the door and set the things on the floor. Tossing the bag of clothes on top of him, Nate grabbed a water bottle. Opening it he said before drinking. "I found our base, get dressed and we'll head over there." Throwing back the bottle he took a few loud gulps and ended on a breath of satisfaction. |

Groaning as a pile of clothing was tossed onto him, Magoichi sat up, his head popping through all the apparel. "Kids these days... No care for if an old man is sleeping or not," He commented before noticing what exactly he was buried under and began rifling through them. "Well, well... Nice work, Nick. Got some casual and some classy, though, classy tends to suit me better. Ironic considering I'm, well, me huh?" He questioned with a chuckled, removing himself from the couch. Picking out a few articles of clothing, Magoichi left for the bathroom and returned a few minutes later in more formal clothing. What he now had adorned was a white, long-sleeve dress shirt with the arms rolled up to his elbows and the top button undone, black slacks paired with an average dark brown belt and sliver square buckle finished with a duo of seamless ebony square-toed dress shoes. Surprisingly, it did suit him, quite well too. Smirking and holding his arms out in a questioned posture, Magoichi chuckled before fully exiting the room he changed in. "What'd I tell ya'? Lady-killer or what?" He joked with another slap on his back. "Dress yourself up like this and smirk like that more than ya' scowl and I might just have some competition. Now! Let's get a move-on, shall we?" With that, Magoichi grasped the remaining various bags of clothing Nate had brought and slung it over his shoulder, waiting for his Master to lead the way. |

"I thought to get some extra, just in case." Nate remarked on the variety of clothing before Magoichi left to change. Picking up the guitar case he took it over to the couch and opened it. Grabbing an extra T-shirt he wrapped it over the bayonet of the arquebus, so it wouldn't cut a hole in the case. Mustering most of his strength, he picked it up and placed it inside. Closing it and leaving it for Magoichi when he finished changing. Returning to his water he gulped down the last drops before hearing the bathroom door open. Flashing his usual smirk and looking Magoichi up and down. He had to admit the guy kept a good sense of fashion for being dead five hundred years. "Heh, I'll stick with the uniform." he said picking up the bag of food with the bottles and his baseball bindle he had left behind. Pointing toward the couch he remarked. "Your arquebus is in the case. If anyone asks, say it's empty." Waiting for him to sling it over his shoulder, Nate readied the door. Opening it they both left and headed toward town. Taking the route he had planned while buying things earlier. They ebbed their distance from the new mysterious base. Being sure not to pass any business sections with large windows. The talk between them was mainly that of small talk. Answering questions about vehicles and how they worked. Along with getting Magoichi to not hit on every married woman that passed. Eventually he got the idea down of what a wedding ring looked like. Reaching their destination they were standing in an alley between a housing complex and construction site. Closing his eye's he scanned the area over twice and was convinced that no one could be following them by conventional means. Which was good enough for now as he didn't now how to combat other ways of tracking. Looking at a wall covered in crowd control fencing, the entire construction site was sealed off except for a locked door on the other side of the street. Crumble, a door appeared in front of them allowing passage through the wall. Looking down both sides of the alley Nate opened it and motioned Magoichi inside. Once standing inside he closed the door and it soon faded back into a wall. "Welcome to the base." he said looking up at the half constructed new housing building. Towering four stories high it seemed to be planned for possibly six or seven. "Anyone who enters that isn't a worker we'll know is a threat." he remarked before Magoichi could protest. "We can talk up there." he said motioning with his finger upward. Above them was towering a construction crane, standing higher than most of the buildings in the area. Nate figured since Archer was with him none of the other classes could possess great range capabilities. "Let's find a room first though." he said walking toward the buildings entrance. It seemed that the lower floors had been completed for the most part. With windows allowing for natural light to flood in. Though it was quite dark as the sun had just began setting on the horizon.
