However, I think that they drew the main gun so that the muzzle diameter is far too big. In real life, it was only 76.2 mm (3 inches). See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-34 In reality, the T-34 was 2.45 m high and 3.00 m wide. Based on that, it looks to me that they drew the main gun with 260 mm inner diameter. | @Rhettman55: I know. I know. I should sit back and enjoy the gag comedy. But I just ... can't ... let go of this issue. Here is an image from the manga which includes a drawing of the same tank. The interior diameter of the barrel of the main gun is perfectly to scale! (Warning: This image contains plot spoilers, so non-manga-readers would be best not to look at it!) I completely accept your point that this is not "Girls und Panzer". Rather, it is based on a four-panel gag manga. So complete technical accuracy is possibly not to be expected at the rivet-for-rivet scale. However, what must be insisted upon in any anime adaptation of a manga is ... faithfulness to the original source! Otherwise, it is a betrayal of the artistic vision of the manga artist. |

Or the T-34/85-43 with the 83mm. |
