| While some were heading out into the middle of the woods at this hour, Erika had the luxury of staying in a cabin built by her family. Seeking out a leyline? Why do that when you can secure it in advance? That being said...Erika went out anyway. A cramped interior was no place for the mind of an artist constantly seeking inspiration for their next piece! It was kind of cold, but her ancestors could take a much harsher cold. A merciless and uncaring cold. Why shouldn't she? Her mind wandered as her body moved almost on autopilot; her hand stroking a paintbrush across the soil, adding the finishing touches to the circle inscribed upon her fathers research notes. Oh father...if only you could have been alive to see this, but alas...your sacrifice will serve to strengthen the bond between master and servant! Upon finishing the final rune, Erika tosses a corpse onto its center. The corpse of a man with his eyes wide open in shock. Once the corpse had been laid across the circle, Erika held out her hands and began to chant... Gebo - I offer this body as tribute to the Grail, and to my servant. Nauthiz - Be durable as the mountain. Kenaz - Do not so easily lose your self. Eihwaz - Be stronger than the ox Algiz - Eliminate all that would harm me. Mannaz - Outsmart the fox. Berkano - Remain strong no matter your pain. If you would fight for the blood of your descendents, then heed my call! Show thyself, Berserker! The circle glows vibrantly, feeding from her own prana and the leyline simultaneously until it explodes in a burst of blinding light. Erika had been knocked unconscious briefly, and as she came to the light slowly vanished and a large man stood where there was once a dead body. The summoning...was a success. |

| Before her stood a giant of a man, bare-chested but otherwise clad in armor, the vapor in the cold air forming into steam as it met his skin for under it, his blood boiled. He took in a few deep breaths as if to gain control over the aura of madness that had enveloped him and slowly inspected his body, clenching his fists a few times as if to test it out. He then pounded his chest once with each fist and nodded once, seeming satisfied. "This body is good; many will fall at my hands," the man announced gruffly and as if noticing her for the first time, he set his eyes upon Erika. His eyes like hot embers behind the visor of his helm gazed unblinking at her, though it was more like they simply pierced through her and the sound of sniffing could be heard through the helm. "I smell the blood of my kin running through your veins... But you are weak, unable to control the gifts that have be bestowed upon you. Is it you who has summoned me, little girl?" |

| Erika rose to her feet at a comfortable pace and dusted herself off as the giant spoke. As for her answer: it was but a simple nod; not out of a fear to speak, mind you, but simply due to her tendency to only speak when it is necessary. She approached him and inspected his body with the eyes of an artisan, inspecting even the smallest detail. She smiled at him, satisfied that she could, in fact, paint him if she so wished. |

| Harald merely stood there as she inspected him. "War is upon us, we must prepare quickly and efficiently lest the enemy bears upon us when we are not ready. Call upon me when preparations are complete and when there is blood to be shed. But know my thirst for battle must be quenched before long," he told her as he inspected the area around them. Noticing the cabin near them he asked: "Is this where we will set camp?" |

| Erika nodded quietly to the giant as she wordlessly walked towards it. She obviously wasn't one for talking. However...she didn't really have to. "Why seek out the rat when the rat will come to us?" She asked Harald telepathically. The link between master and servant, regardless of corporeal body, was still there at least. |
