| The Thernadiers are the most miserable bunch of low lives I ever had to endure. Regarding the reunion of Cosette and Fantine, I knew that something had to get in the way, would've been too good to be true. And missing this chances will probably end up being fatal. I wonder if Javert told the truth or if he just baited. |

| You know what, no, I'm not watching this. I like drama, but not when the misery is dragged on like this. I thought the stuff between the mayor and police inspector was neat, but everything else was seriously drawn out misery. I could handle this stuff in a small cour anime or in movies, but not 52 episodes worth. Gonna bet the book is probably more interesting too. If I could compare this to another World Masterpiece Theater anime, Ai Shoujo Pollyanna Story had it's fair share of stretched out misery too. Wanna know the difference tho? The MC was way more high and hopeful on life, and had way more to her than just the idea of waiting for mommy to come home. And it certainly didn't have any cartoonishly evil caretakers like a bunch of other WMT anime like to have. |
