Do you like the anime?

So I checked the forum from time to time and I was somewhat surprised by the amount of hate.

Like Amagi being "cliche" and some simply hating that it doesn't deserve the attention is gets due to it not having much of a redeeming factor.

Is it another one of those occurrences that people hate it just for being relatively popular? So what justifies the hate that Amagi is getting from your perspective?

I personally like this anime for its comedy and I thought the last episode's comedy was pure gold. Also, I am one of the people that doesn't mind "cliche" as long as it is enjoyable.

People have an obssession on hating anything that is produced by KyoAni.

Personally I'm liking Amagi a lot, it's a lot better than any recent work of theirs.

I don't mind haters but I didn't know their reasoning was something stupid as "it's cliche".

It's Kyoani. Their shows are gonna get hate no matter what. I don't usually like their work but this one is pretty good. The setup of the plot isn't special but a narcissistic main character and such twisted cast of mascots and their faces are a nice change.

I don't really like it but I don't hate it either. And 'cliché' doesn't mean 'bad' in my book. I don't understand how people can dislike an anime because it was produced by a certain studio.

Not when they say this is the most 'cliched' of the season (I really want to ask those people, how?! About the studio thing, some people just hold really hold onto the 'bad' anime that the studio produced. With that negativity in mind, it is no wonder they won't be able to enjoy unless it is their 'perfect' studio.

I find it good, I have no idea how it's cliche but it it's nothing special either.
The anime industry is dead, the otaku fanbase killed it.

Hate? Da-fuq did you smoke ? I think you're just blindly making false accusations without actually noticing the reactions it receives.

Its pretty much universally acclaimed as a comedy especially around these forums.Since its made by Kyoto Animation its automatically under "KyoAni can do no wrong" category people so blindly follow.
So not even if there were people against it ,the vast majority would clearly outweigh those voices.

Was that first line directed to me? It seems like it was yet is seems more like to the "haters". Doesn't really matter though.

Yea, KyoAni did make many great shows though some people tend to focus on the bumps of the road (Kyoukai no Kanata, but I liked it too) or even Free but for the stupidest reasons out there.

This is turning into a KyoAni thread!

I don't even see how it's 'cliché' or how the studio should matter since every studio can produce good & bad anime... It's only a matter of taste to me.

Its not cliche. The comedy and story are not cliche at all. I do like the mascots raw comedy and the random characters, but asides from that, the comedy is not that good.

But this anime isn't that funny at all. I think that the biggest reason why this anime is popular is because it is being adapted by Kyoto Animation. If it weren't adapted by them or some other big studio, this anime wouldn't be popular.

The only thing that I find cliche about this anime is that the the main MC, the person who is supposed to save everyone, is a HS student. By looking at the problems of saving the park and dealing with a business, I thought that the MC was going to be someone at least in his 20's.

I don't get it either, it's a pretty fun show. I'm also bewildered when people say it's so generic. Like seriously how many other anime have an mc that is a theme park manger and a theme park as the main setting?

I think in terms of "generic" Kyoani's last 3 series are probably far more generic, and ABP is easily the best series Kyoani has done since Hyouka. But the feeling I get is that in ABP Kyoani is still playing it safe and going for unambitious works, rather than something unique and special that will be remembered as a classic. Which Hyouka was. ABP is good but I can't help but have a feeling Kyoani should be doing better.

Somehow I understand why people might hate AmaBuri, but screw them. Anything produced by Kyoani has got to be pretty and AmaBuri has really lived up to that expectations. Plotwise I'm sure there is much to nitpick about, but as someone who picked up this show without much expectations for it, I thought it was done quite well. Although I'm not a fan of the Moffle-blala gang of plushie-like characters, I do enjoy the overall hilarity.

Just let people hate on it if they want to, everyone's entitled to have their own opinions as long as they respect ours.

People on mal dont like this show because its slice of life.

Free at least had the benefit of being SOMEWHAT about sports.

People on MAL call any and all slice of life anime generic because they dont understand that kung fu =/= story.

I love this anime. It has a bit of Fumoffu style and jokes, and generally I enjoy the setting and characters way more than KyoAni's recent attempts such as Free, Hyouka, Tamako and Chuu2. It's too underrated.

Can understand the hate, it's really not an ambitious show.
Personnally, I'm easily pleased, so I like it. I find it pretty fun and stuff, and I'm not bothered by the fanservice.
So yeah, quite like it.

I totally agree with you, though I just kind of laugh at any offensive stuff said on the internet especially on the shit taste thing. I do take opinions that aren't negative in a better light.

This ^

I'm impartial to the producer and just watch the show for the show. The comedy is pretty good and the show isn't half bad at face value (art, animation, audio.) I just don't find it to be all it could have been at this point nor as funny as I thought it would be. I suppose that means my expectations that I set after the first few episodes or maybe even before then were too high. Then again, I don't recall expecting all that much. I like the main character, but I feel the could do more with him. That said, I'll stick with the show to the end: seems like a show that could have a good ending depending on how its handled.

Started watching the series till ep 7 and honestly I am enjoying the show both studio and story. Idk about being generic since we didn't get to see some anime with this setting. Don't mind the hate though, it's normal.

I'm not aware of the hate but either way,I like this shows.
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

http://www.classzone.com/books/lnetwork_gr08/page_build.cfm?content=analyz_media&ch=30

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.
