| Hi everyone, I'm Lily. I live in Orange County/Inland Empire (though most of my life I lived in the Burbank/Los Angeles area). My favorite anime is Clannad After Story, though Steins;Gate and Ef: A Tale of Memories both come really close, and Log Horizon is a guilty pleasure. I'm an avid gamer, across a ton of genres... some examples: Hearthstone, Shadowrun, Persona Q, Fallout 3, Recettear, Deus Ex Human Revolutions, GTA5, Assassin's Creed, Legend of the Five Rings. I moved to Texas for a few years due to my job, and now that I'm back, I don't really have any friends out here anymore. Since I'm really socially awkward, I've been watching a lot of anime while holed in my apartment and trying to find friends online to chat about anime (or games) with. |

| Hello all! I'm Franklin and I am an engineering graduate student in the Bay Area. I'm relatively new to California, but am slowly getting oriented to it after spending most of my life on the east coast. My favorite anime is Steins;Gate, for the memorable characters, casting, music, and other factors. I often end up watching anime or reading manga while completing homework assignments or take home exams because it can be inspirational. My interests outside of animanga include sports and video games of most types, both playing and watching. I look forward to posting more randomly around this forum. :D |

| Hi everyone! I'm Erika or Rika or Epika or Katsu (or Senpai) as I've already been called on Skype. I'm 24 and I graduated from college last month so I'm a little 'lost in the world' right now. I live in the bay area like some others here which is awesome! Favorite anime? Well I would say Higurashi but after reading the original Visual Novels, the anime (mostly season 1) doesn't really do it justice. I still keep it up there as I don't know, a reminder of how I got into visual novels and how amazing it was to finish the second season?? Not really sure what my favorite is right now. I really love my Top 5 can't really pick which one is my favorite at the moment. I like reading visual novels, editing videos, and also playing video games. I need to play more of my PS3... Anything else... um... Friends have told me that I'm like a super saiyan when I marathon anime. |

I am also currently recovering from a chronic illness and anime has been a great way for me to deal with all the stress. That's actually how I got back into it after dropping it a while back. My favorite anime... God that is one tough question haha I love many shows.. But I'd have to say Space Dandy is probably in my top spot at the moment. Besides anime I also love music. All genres, years, etc. I collect vinyl as well which often gets in the way of my anime budget xP So yeah, that's me in a nutshell. Excited to meet you all! |

I am a rower so most of my time was spent training and doing homework, but then i got injured and had to take the rest of the year off. As a result I started watching more anime to fill up my free time. When 2015 came around I was well enough to start training again, but not nearly as much as I used to, so I still have plenty of time to watch anime. Picking a favourite anime is tough for me, but if I had to choose then it would be Clannad and Clannad: After Story. I used to play quite a lot of video games, but have grown bored with them and I would much rather watch anime. Right now there aren't any video games that stand out to me, but I am waiting in anticipation for the next Fallout and Mass Effect, two of my favourite titles that have yet to come to next gen. consoles. I like playing Yu-Gi-Oh, but I don't have anyone to play with so I am not very good at it. I also like that Japanese soda with the marble at the top and there is a Japanese Market near my school so whenever I have money I can get snacks there after school. I can't really pick a favorite anime as I don't think I've watched enough to say. However some of my top ones are Bleach, FMA Brotherhood and Death Note. Random facts about me... I'm currently in college majoring in Paralegal Studies, I work part time at a small Law Practice, my favorite type of music is Punk Rock (I'm very familiar with the SoCal scene) and I started watching anime again about 2+ years ago. | I posted this on the front page like an idiot (Thanks, Thaiieee, for correcting me), so I'm going to redo it here. My name's Riley and I live in Los Angeles (though, I'll be moving to the Bay Area to go to college in San Francisco next semester). I'm 18, and relatively new to anime (growing up, I watched things like Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon, etc., but didn't really take it too seriously until this year). My favorite anime is probably Monster but I recognize its relatively low rewatch factor, so it'll probably change once I see more things (Monster is really great, though). I watch a lot of television outside of anime with Community probably being my favorite show and hope to write for television someday. Thanks, everyone! |
| Hey, gang! I've been sifting through clubs here on MAL recently, and it's cool to find an existing club for Californians. Makes sense that such a large state has one, but it's pretty tite to officially be a member. I'm originally from Santa Monica: within the state I've also lived in Mar Vista (Los Angeles) and West Covina (also Los Angeles). I currently live in Italy for work/university, but I'm not sure if I'm going to move back or not. Right now I can come back for Christmas. Hopefully Easter, too, if possible. I'm 22 years old, and I've watched anime for most of them. I started watching fansubs around 2009, so this is my second account on MAL. Isolating one favourite anime is really hard, so I'm gonna break it down to three series: -Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam -Baccano! -Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Three of my biggest hobbies are photography, writing, and gardening. I originally majored in IR and minored in accounting, but since I moved I've been thinking of changing majors into environmental or civic engineering. It's cool reading all of yours. Hopefully the Skype group is still active? |
