Ah yes, the race being described at its core - the humans.

So the MC's name is Kail. That's somewhat cliche for a character in a fantasy world I guess. Still, I think the first few chapters including the prologue detailed the setting pretty well. I noticed the dialogues and descriptions is much more detailed compared to the manga. His relationship with Lize is also somewhat odd. I hope this develops a bit more throughout the course of the series~

Oh and some magic basics are already explained so far divided into three classes. I'm assuming the series will explain more later on with the diversity of its potential spells.

I really love how so many web novels revolving around reincarnation get popular enough to the point where they get published into light novel series including this one, Knights & Magic, Mushoku Tensei, Re:Monster,

I'm looking forward to seeing how Kiel develops, hopefully he'll train Lize like Rudeus did to Sylphy in Mushoku Tensei.

I agree. This genre tropes have been a favorite for years...getting more stories for it is awesome. (Probably why I really got into SAO LOL)

Kail doesn't screw around, that's why I like him. The Author has a very open ended
story to work with. So many things can happen in the years leading up to the
demon invasion. After that preliminary stage the Author has an entire
demon vs humanoid war of extermination to write about. Maybe he'll decide to write
a shortcut (like the treasure room shortcut lol). I expect to see Kail's abilities improve
in exciting ways as well since his magic power doubled from the soul fusion.

The end of the volume (extra chapter) really helped consolidate my understanding of
Kail's resolve to save the world. Dark Hero <3 Kyun
