| Did anyone else enjoy this series yet at the same time wish they didn't change so much of the original story? About all that remained from Shakespeare were the character's names, the fact that they were in love, and they both died at the end. I can accept making some updates, particularly to lengthen the story to a 24 episode series, but did they really have to alter that much? |

It's the adaptation of a manga. So, you can't really compare it apple to apple |
| I thought the same thing, mainly because I was expecting the same kind of treatment "Le compte de Monte-Cristo" benefited with Gankutsuô. In other words, the manga is an adaptation of the anime. |
| It doesn't matter because the original story of it was so bad. The changes they made made the story of it a lot better. |
| Well, you know that this is a pure-writing story by William Shakespeare. So merely, there will be many adaptations that are changing from time to time. For your information, in Malaysia too, there's a drama of this story's adaptation which is titled, "Romi loves Julia". But overall, the "a bit-changing" adaptation for this anime series which is titled, "Romeo x Juliet" is still an amazing story and will always be remembered by all of anime viewers who just watched it. :) |
