I couldn't care less about his tragic backstory, Ichijiku is just a selfish person if he thinks like that.
Just how many people died in his hands up to now?
At least we got some new info about the project, so it was a awesome chapter.
But... seems like everyone will die, literally.
Anyway, RIP Kotori?

In the end Chisato wasn't able to bring his little sister's memory back, and once again Murakami is faced with a harsh decision, to say the least.

I feel no sympathy for Ichijiku. His crimes are abominable however you spin it.

Murakami once again has to make a terrible choice.
"Perhaps there is a universal, absolute truth. Perhaps it justifies every question. But that's beyond the reach of these small hands." Mamoru Oshii

There is a cult of ignorance (...) nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that “my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.” Isaac Asimov

Crazy chapter. But yeah, I don't feel much more for Ichijiku either.

Yeah, I really like Ichijiku. His last words in the chapter resonate deeply. After explaining to Ryouta his only choices are to either kill Kotori or let humankind perish, "Do whatever you want. Just do whatever you like." He doesn't even care what happens to the world anymore. Everything he sacrificed and did was wasted; all of the terrible crimes he committed, hundreds if not thousands he killed, all entirely in vain. Imagine being in that situation, justifying to yourself the entire time that every crime was necessary for the end result, only to find out it was worthless. The burden of a thousand sins on your back and you have to live with it with nothing to show for it, and the void within your heart yet remains. That smile on his face in the penultimate page as all of this sunk in...

He is literally a crazy genius. I don't feel sympathy for him, but damn if I don't find it interesting. And I just really like his reaction as he finally abandons all hope.

Fantastic chapter, everything is so messed up. How can it return to normal after all this? Very hard decision.

Still rooting for Grani, even though it's so clear that Grani wo't hatch...
