ok. so. i just finished watching Deadman Wonderland and i KNOW i cant be the ONLY one who feels like there are so many unanswered questions. as well as developing theories in my head. and let me say before i proceed that i f*cking LOVED this anime. anyways. here are some of my questions, if anyone has any answers, theories or questions that they felt unanswered lets hear it!

- WHO THE HELL IS MOCKING BIRD!?!? he obviously had access to the special room/chamber that Shiro was living in you see him talking to her in it towards the end. was he a regular student? was he a creation? WHO WAS HE!??!

-WHAT EXACTLY IS SHIRO?!?! we see her in the final battle get cut and you can see scars on her body, i read somewhere that she was an experiment and her body parts were sewn together. she didnt seem human.

-WHO WAS SHIROS FATHER?! was he training her? he obviously had the power as well.

i found it extremely clever that the story unraveled and Shiro ended up being Red Man. this anime is amazing i wish they had made it longer or continue it without going way off track

The answer to this and many more questions is simple - because it's just a partial adaptation of a long manga. So the solution is simple and hard simultaneously: read the original manga, it's available in English (and many more other languages).
It's very common. Most anime are just an adaptations of manga, light novels or visual novels, and so in Japan anime are seen just as a form of promotion for original (=manga, VN, etc.).
It's just the same as with Hollywood adaptations - it's chock-full of imperfections, but that's tolerated, 'cause it's just for boostin' interest in original book, game or comix.
In West we have hollywoodizations, in East they have animezations.
There is such thing as shit taste. Only idiots think that every "work of art" should have the same value.

Persona anime are good. Deal with it.

Yeah, I know, that's the main problem of majority of anime fans: they like [anime title], they have oh so many questions, but they don't have time to read original manga/light novel/visual novel, or even worse - original still isn't translated to their native language.

As a form of entertainment - yes. In terms of story - absolutely not. It's very common point in anime-manga discussions: "original is so much better". 'Cause it's the same problem as with hollywoodizations: personalities gettin' simplified & flat, dialogs cutted, and the whole storylines & characters are not even mentioned. Simply (and roughly) put, almost always animezation is a castration of original. Just look at "Tsukihime" ("Lunar Princess") - animezation was so horrible that there is even specific meme/joke about it: "There is no 'Tsukihime' anime". 'Cause animezation was so wrong & horrible in so many ways. 0r look at "Naruto" - long dialogs are 0K in manga, 'cause it's take only one or two pages (with many big word-bubbles, yes, but so what). In anime it's almost unbearable: "They just stand and talk for FIVE F**KING EPISODES!" (my friend about battle on bridge with Zabuza, and yes, it's completely true). Mediums differences, that's it. For me, the only one case when animezation was better than original was with "ToraDora!", 'cause in original (light novel) it's very clear who'll be with who (no spoilers).

but from experience. lets say mobile suit gndam. ive read the manga and seen the anime. i felt the story was better, longer and more detailed in the anime. the manga had 3 books. the anime was 50 episodes. so sometimes its hard to expect to learn more from the anime

I'm not familiar with Gundam universe. That's why I wrote "for me" = "in my [humble] opinion".
0n the other hand, length can't define worthiness of animezation - there are fillers: so-called "original content", not present in manga/light novel/VN. And fillers tends to be so-so at best and contradict with main storyline at worst. Again, sure, there are exceptions (like "0ne Piece", where world structure makes fillers easily acceptable).

So, um, if anyone sees this, anyone care to explain what, exactly, the last episode was? I couldn't tell if it took place before or after the events of the main plot (I might have missed something in the middle about Shiro).
