ok i just watched the 1E and i liked it but im a bit confused, he takes over japan ( or a big part off it idc ^^ ), sooo does that make him a king or something also because at the begin a grp off ppl surendered to him .... , but later he gets arrested sooo the doesnt make him a king or is he more aff a clan leader ? xD. sorry if it is a stupid question ^^ but it kept me awake the whole night xD :(

Nagasaki is an island, at the beginning the hero is like the strongest on the streets: not really a thug, but like the best of the street fighters, and those associated in gangs, but again, not in an illegal way (this was done by the yakuza) but just in a "we're young and like to hang and fight" kind of way (which is very Japanese). But during the episode, you learn he's actually the heir of the Tokugawa, which were the rulers of Japan at this time (Edo period, and Bakumatsu here I think).
