The agitated and violent streets of the South District. During night, it is recomended to not walk here unless really necessary.
Through me the way is to the city dolent;
Through me the way is to eternal dole;
Through me the way among the people lost.

The rickety ceiling fan swirled in an almost hypnotic spiral, sending infinitesimal dust particles into the air with each turn, forming small clouds that hung momentarily before being swept away by the blades' gust.

Griffith lay upon the dingy couch in the cramped studio's far corner, his folded forearms serving as an impromptu cushion. His lazy eyes followed the fan's movement, tracking the bits of dust as they congealed in the already dim atmosphere offered by the apartment, his eyelid twitching with each additional accumulation of floating dirt.

Breaking from his trance, the bastard's eyes began to scour the room, his gaze passing over the dilapidated desk strewn with paperwork and arbitrary files, the faded windows that only let in the dullest glimmer of sunlight even on the brightest of days, and finally, barely visible amongst a congregation of haphazardly tossed aside clothing articles and footwear, a small feather duster.

Decisions. Choices. The foundation of the lives we live.

It was a rare amenity; that oddly unfulfilling feeling of comfort one could sometimes find whilst resting upon the most uncomfortable of furnishings in just the precise position. A position that, should the fortunate proprietor of said comfort make any motion from their spot, would be lost forever to an infinitely mundane struggle to recapture its sensation.

But the dust was beginning to grow stifling.

The studio’s main port swung open, inviting in a sudden rush of natural light and a cool breeze that offered escape to the carbon-form clouds lingering in the modest room. In stepped the help, tall and lean, with a face worn in and weathered. He stood in the doorway, glancing about the messy room before spotting its lounging occupant, whose tepid gaze met with his own before gliding down to the plastic take-out bags the venerable entrant clutched at his knee.

“I hate Chinese.”

“But you love to eat.” Harper trudged into the room, kicking aside the sea of junk littering the hard floor. He stopped at the sloppily organized desk, pushing aside several of the files and dropping the two styrofoam food containers in their place. Noting the contents of one of the files, he turned his sights on his lethargic companion. “You know this puts her in danger as well, right? They’re bound to notice the inconsistencies in their accounts.”

“She doesn’t have to do it if she doesn’t want to,” the boy deadpanned, bidding farewell to his sacred spot and sitting up on the sofa. “And it pays for your obsession with oriental food, so be grateful.”

It was a trick he’d learned over his years serving the Abernathy boy, how to speak to him without a single word. This one was a stare that held wary concern.

“She’s smart enough to take care of herself. The fat old bastard won’t notice anything,” the youth argued.

“The hypocrite speaks,” the man retorted.

“I’m not fat.” Raising from the couch, Griffith approached the desk, snatching one of the pre-packed meals and carrying it to the door, where his backpack lay leaning against the wall.

Lifting the bag, he slid in his day's rations and zipped closed the satchel, drawing open the door and stepping out. "School," is all he offered as he exited the apartment, closing the door behind him.

An uneventful day. Not unexpected for time spent at that esteemed college, yet some variety could have been called for.

The trek from the lavish Northern college campus down into the dank and dilapidated South was always an interesting one. As much as the dichotomy between the two stayed the same, the specific sights were often subject to variation. Today's was an especially exciting show; two filthy juveniles, neither could have been more than half a decade in age, each having staked their claim to a small trash bag, enclosed in which were the remnants of a meal prepared for one infinitely superior to the rabble that now were willing to risk harm and injury to procure its remains.

Stopping beside the fiery combatants earned the Abernathy boy a pair of threatening glares. The glint of the sun’s dim light off his bejeweled Hinode College identification badge saw such intimidations alleviated. The boys had no reason to fear a Northerner would make an attempt at the prize of their mutual struggle.

Kneeling down and drawing open his school bag, Griffith removed the pre-packed serving of oriental style chicken and white rice, placing it on the ground before him.

As if immediately, the rowdy youth perked with keen intrigue, the aroma of unsoured nutrients speaking to a portion of their primal minds that they could do nothing to quell. Their threatening glances now replaced with dubious hesitation, they regarded the seemingly charitable foreigner. It took only a slow nod from their instant provider for the two to make haste toward the bounty, only to be halted by an outstretched palm. Closing his hand into a fist, save for an outstretched index finger, Griffith brought his hand down to the meal, drawing an invisible equator across the styrofoam container. Tilting his head in an expectant gesture, he was greeted with nods of assurance from both hungry boys. Lies, of course. The moment he was up from the spot, making his way deeper into the shoddy region, they would be at each other’s throats yet again, their inner flames now further kindled by the promise of a second, more enticing treasure.

It couldn’t be helped. Either way, he was just happy to have the thing away from his person.

He hated Chinese.

( I wouldn't enter at this part ghost likely 2-3 post down *shrugs*)

As the school day ends Takashi leaves early getting his gear situated and ready, he works out, eats and waits. At 5 PM he leaves his apartment and heads for the meeting spot in the old slums. Reading the papers 6 Agents were to be on this op which told him it must be a AA assignment. Wearing black coveralls he gets into the back of a white windowless van and waits for the others to arrive, before him is a Shōdo company made monitor as the emotionless face of Yamada waits in his butler uniform to give out the orders and objectives. Already three others are waiting with him.

Zipping her chinos closed, the scarlet haired assassin emerged from an alleyway, leaving an unconscious urine soaked police officer in her wake. Unlike the other agents, this girl brought no guns nor did she fashion any form of protection. Instead she donned a white shirt with a red tie over a tan pair of skin tight chinos. Her indolent demeanour was topped off by a mismatched pair of Vans; one blue and white chequered, the other green and yellow. "Sorry I'm late folks, had a date with the law." Sending her eyebrows in a rippling wave, the woman bit the corner of her bottom lip and entered the vehicle. Once inside she flexed her knuckles and turned to Takashi, running her eyes up and down his attire. "Professional as always Takashi, it suits you." Smirking, the girl turned her head away from him and allowed her hand to slump out the side of the vehicle. "It matches the pole up your ass" she murmured.

"Rich coming from a redhead in a whore suit..besides everything else I need is in here."

With that Takashi says nothing else as the final members arrive. "Everyone's here sir."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yamada keys up a number of photos and slides and begins the briefing.
"This is a Double AA mission, failure, losses among our forces, or escape of key pbjectives will not be tolerated."
First a picture of a JGSDF General shows up on the screen then that of a man in a buisness suit.
"General Yamaguchi came to the Kanto Group Three Weeks ago, attemps were inlisted to recruit him into a smuggler ring ran by Diet Memember Shozen Akihito, which according to Yamaguchi has been supplying the North Korean's with advanced technology...the latest item they want is our Advanced Ship Missile tracking system."
Keying up the next slide set a group of men are shown. "The Operation on the North Korean end, is being carried out by KPA Special forces, under the command of a man only called the Major. We suspect he is yet another go between. A Meeting has been arranged for all three parties at 1100 hours tonight at the old Mushihara construction site. The Objectives are as follows.
Team One, Takashi, and Shia, you two will be in ground command, Takashi you have the call sign Alpha one, Shia you are alpha two. The objective is simple. You will trigger the attack and carry out Search and Destory of all targets. Assist the ptotection team as needed, if needed.
Looking at the next group he clears his throat. "Team three. You will be carrying out sniper operations, recon, and overwatch. We have scouted out three locations for posting, you call sign will be Eagles Nest. The part of the objective Ayuma and Kaeda have to cover should need no instruction."
Looking at Gale and the final team member a male by the name of Tojiro he finishes out the breifing. "You two will be team two, codename Tora 1 and Tora 2. Protect the General at all costs. We reward those who are loyal. Do not engage the enemy but when you must.
Escort the General to his limo and then link up with Alpha Team. Once the link is secure kill all combatants and the Diet Member. No prisoners. I repeat No prisoners, and no survivors, that is to all teams. And The General's escape has your highest priority. All the Gear and Additional details for the operation can be found in your drop bags. the Cleaning team will be at 10 plus after the single is sent. Copy?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Affirmitive, over and out." With that the screen blinks off. Looking through the bags he finds two that have what looks like buisness suits, shades, and small concealed firearms. "Hmm I guess these belong to you two. Also Gale try and not to suck up gunfire, seems what your group is good for however." With a bit of a smile he finds the next bags which have a sniper rifle and camo nets and a DMR. "Well I guess these go to you two."

Lastly is a bag with a HK make SMG, spare mags, and combat pads. Finishing it off is a skull pattern balaklava."Suit up, when at objective codenames only. Lets get a look at the location, figure the escape for the General as well as how we want to attack the meeting spot." With that he waits to hear anymore objections or questions. Each bag aslo has a miniture radio and ear piece.

Having been pushed into the middle of the car when Tojiro stepped in, Gale sighed and sifted her eyes towards him. "Yeah, I'm not wearing that... fabric is too stiff. It'll slow me down. Hey, Tojiro was it? Come here for a second." The man must have heard some stories about her, given how he gulped and inched closer to her on the seat. "You won't be necessary." With a quick flick of her wrist, the blade of a straight razor gleamed into view. The movement was fluid. A lazy eye wouldn't even have noticed. A perplexity ran across Tojiro's face as his throat began to open, blood streaming down from the clean cut gash.

Opening the door, she kicked the dead man out of the car and closed it again behind him. Closing the blade, Gale let it slide down her writs before nonchalantly putting on a seatbelt. "I guess Tora will suffice now won't it?" She asked, slotting the pistol in the back of her chinos, and placing the earpiece where it belonged.

"THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING!? You crazy Bitch!" With that he quickly jumps out and slaps a bandage on the neck of Tojiro. And holds it stoping the bleeding as the sniper team takes aim on her. "I always knew you were a mad dog in need of being put down...Yamada will hear about this...and you watch your ass, or I'll bleed you myself..."

The teenager isn't dead but his pulse is weak he'll be out of action for weeks. Keying his headset he calls for a medical team and draws his own knife as he keeps a uneasy stare on Gale and the sniper team keeps its distance from her. "Mark my words bitch, I should have slotted you in training..." Looking at the sniper team they seem to be in agreement as they gaze at her with hostility as well. A uneasy standoff casts over the area as a government tagged van speeds in and takes the bleeding man away.

"Sniper team, keep a gun trained on this bitch.." With that he gets in the drivers seat and fires up the van. "If her hands move from the dash, her sides, or anywhere near me. Kill her. Tora, let me be clear, once at the spot, you are on your own." His left hand is still gripped to his own knife as they all uneasily drive to the site.

Reaching it he pulls a few blocks down and shuts off the power. "Alright, everyone out..you first, you Blue on Blue sack of shit." Given his trust issues already being there and his shaky history with the girl this turn of events has him on edge against her. "And try not to kill your own General.." His own partner exits the Van in advance keeping her SMG trained towards Gale albit not aimed at her. All of them here had trained together and killing or trying to kill a comrade was a big taboo.

(hmm with this turn of events I came up with a "nobel" way for ghosts 2nd guy to die.)

(Quick question. Was that Tojiro guy thrown out of the car or not? I was thinking seeing a body roll out onto the blacktop would be a pretty decent reason for Harper to get suspicious and tail them. If not, halp, I need a reason.)

(I called dibs on killing Harper though~ Hands off red :P There's a romanticism involved with falling for the person who's best friend you slit the throat of.)

"Why pay for something you didn't need? He was a commodity... an expendable one. I was saving our employer the only thing in this world that matters, money." Shaking her head in genuine confusion, Gale stepped out of the car began to walk towards the destination. "Oh and one more thing. Next person to call me a bitch is going to see first hand why they call me the Fleet Street Demon." Leading the charge, Gale pulled out her phone and began to text as she sauntered onward. Unphased by the myriad of cross-hairs aimed on her.

(Ghost there'd be a pool of blood where he was. If that isn't something that warrants suspicion...)

(Okay sweet. We'll do that then. Now I just need a way for him to actually be able to keep up...)

(Goose, that could just mean someone's water broke in the middle of the road. I'm sure that happens all the time in these slums.)

"'Best egg rolls in Aoihoshi' my ass," Harper complained, the sour taste of hastily fried vegetables still stuck to his taste buds.

The grizzled purveyor of odd jobs strolled down the grimy Southern streets, perusing the area on his evening walk. He pulled a cigarette and lighter from his pocket, slipping the carcinogenic pole between his lips and lighting up; an attempt to fumigate the taste of sub par Asian cuisine from his particularly picky lips. Taking a long draw, he sniffed the air, a certain aroma sparking a snide thought. "It was like they dipped the things in..." His remark was curtailed as he crossed the alley, the unconscious and urine drenched law enforcement officer pulling his attention from his off putting dining experience. "God damn it..." he mumbled. He thought to help the out of commission officer, the former brother in arms, but the prospect of touching one covered in his own, or who ever else's piss was not the most inviting.

Continuing his trek, he couldn't help but notice how still the streets were. No street corner brawls, rowdy transients scuffling over dirty portions of thrown away cloth to help make the frigid night air a bit less biting, even the usually active string of pimps and prostitutes that roamed the side walks in droves were startlingly scarce that night. It was far too quiet. That is, until an unmarked white van came blistering through the streets, swaying in and out of lanes as it sped away.

Sex traffickers? A drug deal gone wrong? It couldn't be local. if anyone in the Southern district could afford a vehicle, they'd nary be quick to make it known, and this one was heading out of the area, quickly.

"It couldn't hurt to check..." the former detective murmured, his own curiosity taking a hold over his logical reason. He knew this district inside and out, so the van's rapid pace would add welcome challenge to the hunt, but certainly wouldn't make things impossible. Cutting through an adjacent alley, harper picked up his own pace, aiming to intercept his target further down the way.

As soon as shes out of ear shot Takashi looks at the others. "This is why I hate working with freelance sacks of shit.." One of the snipers the females nods. and speaks.

"Its not like we chose to live like this..and commondity..would you be upset if we.."

Takashi holds his hand up. "No we don't kill our own...but I promise you this, she'll find her contract pool a bit smaller.." Part of him wouldn't mind ordering her assassination but now wasn't the time or place, they had a job to do. Keying up his handset he calls Gale. "Alpha 1 to Tora..team. Scout out the escape route for the general. We are positioning for overwatch, get back with me on the exit you will be using so we know where to conduct the attack from. Copy, over?" Loading his SMG they still had pleanty of time to wait, once the plan was finalized thats all they would have to do.

Got it all marked out here. I'll send it to you now... I still have your number." Ending with a titter of laughter, for jeering purposes only, Gale sent him a jpg of the schematics to this district with a red crudely drawn line marking her intended path. "I'm not a fan of standing idle. What's next?" Growing impatient, Gale began to flick her wrist systematically, alternating between opening and closing the blade of her straight razor. "This isn't a whore suit..." She pouted as she pulled on the fabric of her shirt, remembering what Takashi had said to her.

Takashi studies the map and nods remembering its details. "we'll come in from the left flank, as to that, doesn't matter to me. Eat, sleep, shit. General Yamaguhi however has contact information and wishes to meet with his protection team in advance by two hours..thats one conversation I wouldn't want to sit in on. The operation will go down once the North Korea's arrive and the deal is near conclussion. The General having a coughing fit will be the single to go."

Putting his skull mask on he smiles behind it. "I would say we all should have some Ramen, but I think at this point that might not end so well. Sending the Generals information, out." With that he replies to her map with a contact number for the General as well as a meeting place. A Tea house not far from where they were.

(I'll likely NPC the General and the North Koreans.)

"Too old...way too old for this kind of shit..." Harper huffed, slowing his sprint as he came to the end of the alley, resting an open palm against the brick fascia of the building beside him and leaning slightly to catch his breath. Raising from his stoop, he immediately sunk back into the alley, pressing against the alleyway to remain unseen.

A large vehicle, several suspicious characters. A gang meeting? Likely. The yakuza in the area had been more lively lately. Harper was beginning to feel the itch. Those days were behind him, Griffith was his concern now, watching over the Abernathy heir, training him for his eventual control of a powerful and affluent legacy. But...

Impossible. Scarlet hair, disheveled dress, an air of unmitigated rebellion. He'd heard tell of the Fleet Street Demon. Rumors, mostly. "Stop it," he urged himself. He was profiling, and sticking his nose where he knew he shouldn't. He watched as the distinct girl fiddled with her phone, then recoiled when she began to make sport of a more dangerous plaything. There were no longer any doubts in his mind as to what he was bearing witness to. A meeting of assassins. The slums offered ample cover. But who was their target? He had no way of knowing, nor did he care. He was driven sheerly by desirous curiosity now, and it would not be quelled until he knew for sure.

He'd follow her. It shouldn't be difficult, he thought, to remain undetected. If nothing else, he was at least twice her age, and decades beyond her experience. Arrogance? Perhaps. But he was feeling as his old self, and he'd never lost his mark before.

"Watch the language Taka-chan, you're in the presence of a lady!" Scoffing, Gale ceased communication and made her way to the tea shop. Once inside she scanned the room while calling the contact number she had been provided. Once she identified the man answering the phone, she hung up and approached. "General Yamaguchi, I presume?" She asked as she sat herself on his lap. No one would expect the escort to be the... well, escort. As of now she remained completely oblivious to her pursuer.

"Maybe." The General stares cautiously at the girl and drapes a hand into the stylish long coat he has own as a man, it seems the driver and a aid look on from the booth. "But now, who are you, I was told to expect two, and that you would be in the buisness ataire I had arranged..." The General seems to be in his 60's and speaks in a slow elegant fashion but there seems to be some fire behind his eyes.

"Depending on the answer, this exchange might be at a end. Or I may invite you for some Tea. You may speak openly here."

Harper strolled briskly past the tea shop, fidgeting uncharacteristically, scratching his upper arms and craning his head about frantically. A ruse. An act. 'A crackhead looking for a hit,' they'd think. Slipping beyond the drinkery, he considered what he'd seen within, an excited paranoia gripping hold of his frantic thoughts. "General Yamaguchi?" he whispered beneath his breath. This was far more serious than he'd thought. But then...

Squinting in inquisitive confusion, Harper fought the urge to make a second pass. Did the Demon really expect to fool such a man dressed so haphazardly? What was her play? Or did she simply not have one?

"Calm down, old man..." he remarked to himself, exhaling slowly. His curiosities were staggering. It'd been a long time since he'd found himself in these shoes. He'd wait. It was all he could do.

The General laughs at that and stares at the woman. He wasn't sure what to make of her but it was barely positive, to be talked down like so. "Ara Ara, aren't we a brave one..I care not about what you deem necessary. I informed the North Korean's I would be bringing two aids to the exchange..as to my...performance...hmm...I would take you up on that. However I feel sleeping with you might be bad for my health."

Pinching his nose he stops to think pondering his options. "No keep up that persona, I will pretend you are a gift to the North Korean's or the Traitor..he is a womanizer. My Aid and driver will have no choice but to enter the fray..however to insure they live I will have them waiting at the exit..I have body armour on under this, but I rather not test it."

Sliding over he motions for the girl to sit. "Once I finish this game of shogi we shall leave for the meeting. If you want anything from the menu, feel free to order." With that the General turns back to his game with the driver.

"Heh..gaijin.." About two hours later the General nudges her. "Lets go. We Leave now."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Eagles nest to Alpha one we have movement." Calling it back in the Diet member, his bodyguard and aid, and a total of 10 men the sniper assumes is the North Koreans show up as well as the General, two others not part of the plan, and of course Gale."Eadles nest to Alpha one, We see two SVD Armed Snipers, Two men Packing AKs. Everyone else has pistols. TT-33 Design, minus the Bodyguard, I have no idea what he has under that coat.."
"Copy that. Snipers, and AKM men have priority. We are in position to start our attack."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

With that the General enters and shakes the hand of the Diet man with a smile on his face as the north Korean's keep their distance minus one with a briefcase and the other with a AKM. "Ah her? Just a...hmm a gift for your great leader..consider her a gift...take her for yourselves if you want. She's just illegal Trash that came to Japan and has no way out legally. Just Yakuza property."

Taking his own briefcase he opens it showing a computer chip unknown to the North Korean's its a fake. "So do we have a deal gentlemen?" The North Korean's start to talk amongst themselves as if trying to reach a deal, or gain orders from elsewhere.

Remaining hidden. That was the key. Hidden from the suits, the mercs, those snipers whose presence he had only been made aware of by luck seeing to it that his gaze should be trailing just as a distant flash gleamed off the scope of one of their rifles. And now, he was hiding, waiting, at the entrance of the meeting point. The slightest mishap would see him undone from anything resembling function. He'd be dead, filled from head to toe with more hot lead than could be found in any amount of contaminated Chinese import toys.

It called the purpose of this whole ordeal into question. What had he been thinking? To interrupt this group's dealings, perhaps? He was a single man, and this was reality. He'd lost himself in the pages of fiction, thinking himself an invulnerable avenger of a once just world.

Damn kid, he thought, placing the blame for his rash actions squarely on the shoulders of one Griffith Huntington Abernathy. The boy's wild ambition, his heedless quest to conquer his father and emancipate his mother, it had revived something in the weathered old servant. But not all men are born to perform great deeds. His was a role quarantined to assistance. To lend aid to one so youthfully ambitious and romantically enthralled, that was his purpose, and on this night he had for but a moment let his mind wander to delusions of more fanatical aspirations.

With a soft smile he held his position, hiding from the eyes of everyone in the world. He'd apologize, he promised himself, for not being home when the subject of his protection had most certainly already returned. As soon as he found himself out of this bind, of course.

And what a conversation that'll be, he mused, imagining the impartial look Griffith would undoubtedly wear as he queried him as to where he'd been, pretending not to care. Harper was sure the boy had picked that trait up from his sister. But he didn't mind. He'd remembered his place now, he knew where he belonged, and he would return at his first opportunity.

"So hurry up in there, ya fuckers..." he breathed, his tone one implicitly impatient.

The General starts up a coughing fit and falls to the ground. As the North Korean backs away slowly silinced gun fire rings out.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Alpha One to all Units, we are go, repeat we are go. Take take take," The Snipers on the North Korean side are gun downed as the AKM armed men soon follow, in the confussion the North Koreans roll behind cover pulling out TT-33 hand guns, the Dietman's body guard pulls out a MP-7 only to soon there after be gun downed with is boss following a stream of SMG fire to his rear fired by Takashi and his partner while she covers he presses in toward the North Korean left flank.
The North Korean with the brief case drops it...and it opens empty..they planned a double cross. The brief case man wastes now time pulling his gun up aiming it for the General. "You will die for this..old man."
A bang reverberated through the room, but it was not from the man’s weapon; no one was a faster draw than the Demon. The Korean fell to his knees in pain as blood began to pour out from a hole in his pants around his thigh. Before he hit the ground, however, he met with an obstruction: Gale’s razor.
Starting below the Adam’s apple, she sliced up to his forehead with the blade before moving past him to dispatch with the rest of the targets. A thin line formed in the centre of the man’s face. As the cut began to open further, his lips and nose peeled to the side.
Swiftly donning a pair of protective goggles, Gale reached into her back pocket and tossed a glass canister full of pure concentrated ethyne towards the remaining troops. A well placed bullet pierced the glass and in a matter of seconds, the area was enveloped in soot, formed as a result of the unburnt carbon that had been produced following a reaction between calcium carbide and acidified copper sulphate.
As the soot fell to the ground, so too did the bodies of the soldiers, each with several trenched gashes engraved in their necks. After having made short work of the rest of the Koreans with the rest of her company, Gale turned back to the man on his knees.
Deciding that work and play didn’t have to be mutually exclusive, she brought other right shoe to the back of his head and pushed him to the ground. His shriek of pain and foreign words of vulgarity proved he could still feel pain. That was good.
Keeping the foot pinned to his head, Gale took his left leg in her arm and began to thrust the man forward, tearing his already parted skin to pieces off the jagged cement floor, copious quantities of blood marking her path. She stopped a few minutes after the blood gurgling screams finally ceased.
“We best be off, 'old man'. Time is money and money is everything.“ She announced once she finished pilfering the myriad of fresh corpses and lining her pockets with the salvage. Standing up she slotted her pistol between her pelvis and the back of her chinos before opening the exit and cautiously checking around for more enemies. Signalling for them to follow she stepped outside, a razor clenched tightly in her hand.
"Eagles Nest to Alpha 1, Tora 1, North Korean Reinforcements spotted at Western Gate. Engaging."
"Alpha 1 to Eagles Nest, We have them."
With that Takashi has his back up cover him, moving into there ranks in CQB out of the group of 12 men in the Reinforcements Takashi takes out eight with a barrage of well placed shots and stabs. The Snipers take out the final 4. "Location Secure..policing the dead."
Going body to body Takashi probes them with the end of the SMG, any showing signs of life are shot again. Checking the ones Gale had rushed, a couple show signs of life, shaking his head Takashi shoots them. "Call in the cleaner team. Eagles nest regroup to Position Bravo, exfil in five."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The General seems disgusted with Gale's antics but says nothing, as he hears her headset chripping the battle report he smile a bit, so he was right to come to the Kanto Group with this. As the group walks away the General, his driver and his aid enter the Limo. "Hmm...well here we part ways. Good Night, nanban." With that the limo's windows roll up and it motors off.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Eagles nest to Alpha one. The Objective is away, I repeat the Objective is away. Attention! Eagles Nest Actual to Alpha one, we have eyes on Civilian that has been watching the battle over. Orders, Copy?"
Takashi's jaw flenches a bit as he keys his headset. "Tora, take the target alive, see what he knows or if he's working with someone else. Copy."
Keeping his mask on he safties his firearm and heads towards the Van. "Orders to all Teams, break up and head home." Getting a beep on his cellphone he looks at it and reads the message. "Correction Tora one and I will remain for debrief, the commander will be coming in person. Bring the Civilian as well.."
With that he waits by the van and keys in to a private code. "Alpha One to Eagle One...stay behind and report to me what Our...comrade does to the civilian. Then leave the area, do not be spotted and stay at range."
(Now you two can do your own thing, in part her punishment will play out in her metting your main guy, but that'll come soon enough. But yeah go ahead and kill him if you want, actually I assume you would ignore the order and do it anyways.)
Gunfire. A lot of gunfire. It was sudden, unexpected. Whatever dealings had been going on up there, they had fallen through.
Slip away during the chaos. A solid plan, but the erratic eruption of noise died down just as soon as it had began. Either all those on one side, or all those on the other, or every breathing body in there capable of squeezing a trigger was either dead or dying. Now was the time to escape. The snipers had been the main cause for concern, but any freelance sniper worth their salt knew that when an op flopped, it was time to opt out. They wouldn't still be watching. They had no reason to be.
Or was that simply his own eagerness to return home, once again threatening to undo the better judgement that had only moments ago found its way back into his thought processes? Such a childish trait for a man his age, to be overly eager.
All potential risks less than intimately considered, he removed himself from the safety of his hiding place, standing idle a moment, a silent prayer falling from his quivering lips. Nothing. That a chunk of seething metal hadn't immediately painted the pavement with bits of his brain and skull meant that he had been right. It was over, whatever it was. He could go home. But even worse than excess avidity is a lack of caution. Reaching into his long coat, past the lapel of his black blazer, he thumbed the hammer of the revolver holstered at his breast. No need to pull it and bring unwanted attention from anyone who happened to look his way during the walk home. He was a quick draw, so being ready would be enough.
He started slowly for the main road, his cold hands roasting in his coat's cashmere lined pockets, his gaze transfixed on the area around him, his mind's eye clouded with images of the fond familiarity to come.
