| I'm not sure if this should be in general or in the mel kano manga discussion, but after just reading the latest chapters, it made me think of putting it here, anyways: With technology as far as it is, we no longer have to go clubs, pubs or the library(if thats your preferred method) to meet the opposite sex. We now have the handy tool of hooking up online to chat, show photos, and then meet up our potential partners.(We even have mail order brides online for humors sake) So I have a few questions for those who have met their partners online: - How safe is online dating? - Do people actually find love? - What are the views of the people these days when they find out you met someone from the net?(in my days when it was dial up, people would ridicule those and find it - it funny to having an online gf...whereas now, i'm sure time has caught up) - Don't you get scared that the other person behind that screen could be a serial killer?(not that its any better meeting a serial killer at a club) From what I've read also, a lot of failed marriages and divorce is due to infidelity on the net. So does that mean, meeting online partners is only an avenue to meet more? Coming from an old school background, where I met my partner at a pub, the thought of meeting someone online can be a little daunting. To those people who have gone through that experience what are your thoughts? |
